Chapter 51.The New Neighbour-Part 1.Brenda Pov.I stood at the window staring at the new neighbor unpacking his stuff from the delivery van.I had bumped into him when I least expect and surprisingly he had a striking resemblance to my ex ... .Abel Cole.Abel Cole. The once best thing that ever happened to me till the story took a different turn Abel is literally everything and more that I ever prayed for in a man, I guess that's the more reason I have refused to heal from the heartbreak, and everything I come in contact with since the breakup reminds me of him.“Youre a good woman Brenda”.“A perfect woman”. Those were his exact words, and whenever he held me in his embrace and whispered those sweet words in my ears, I would melt in his arms, the whole world would pause leaving just the both of us to bask in our emotions. But how would I have known?.How could I have suspected Abel was married with two kids?.Abel masked it up so perfectly, his phone was always on silent whenever

Chapter 53.The New Neighbour-Part 3.Brenda Pov.I whipped it off intently, straightening my shoulders. For no reason should I be caught in the act or be in a vulnerable state.I swallowed hard and turned.Mr Collins was still there, but this time he looked different, he didn't look like a man whose source of livelihood had been withheld. He looks like a fulfilled man kike he was happy to finally leave the hell of a company we still put in just for the direct deposit to ring every month in our account.“Mr…” I hesitated for a minute.“Mr Collins, it's fine. I hold no grudges against you”. My voice is soft and calm.“Take good care of yourself, Brenda”. He finally did.I didn't respond.I just turned and walked into my office, I let the blinds down, walked right to my seat, and sat in it for a minute, exhaling slowly.I thought about a lot of things and imagined the day Mr Fredri

Chapter 55.The New Neighbour-Part 5.Brenda Pov.He didn't leave nor would he say anything to counter what I thought of him and it only angered me the more knowing I had a long day at work only to be woken up midway by an anxious neighbor who wouldn't stay lit in his damn flat.I exhaled slowly. My chest tightened.“Fine”.“Thank you, pretty, beautiful, sexy…”“Get in before I change my mind”. I warned, rolling my eyes. His brows lifted happily, he didn't expect me to give in based on his first impression he had of me.“I know you're a sweet soul. I just knew it”. He muttered as he steeped in.I scoffed, closing the door softly already regretting my decision.I shouldn't have let him. I should have banged the door in his face for the second time and headed straight to the room knowing I had a board meeting to attend in the early hours of the next day.“Make yourself

Chapter 57.The New Neighbour-Part 7.Brenda Pov.“Brenda”.“Sir”. I stood up again.“The file”. He requested not to raise his head from his laptop while the other staff shifted their gaze back at me. I was beginning to get tired and stressed with the whole back and forth, my eyes still heavy from not getting enough sleep.“The file you claimed to have sent yesterday. I can't find it”. His gaze was still fixed on his system.“I already forwarded it, sir”. I argued.I could swear I sent the attached PDF and did all the necessary corrections before I left the house. I didn't ask my subordinate or the Secretary to do it on my behalf to avoid a situation like this.“Resend it”. He ordered.“Alright, sir”. My fingers moved a little too fast because I was certain I still had a copy. I tapped on the inbox, scrolling through all I did yesterday. Each of them still had a date and time and when I sent them, but…That particular fine for the Chinese stock. It wasn't there, I hurriedly minimised

Chapter 59.The New Neighbour-Part 9.Brenda Pov.“Brenda”. He called out staring into my eyes, my legs tripping in excitement. I had been starved for so long and even though I'd probably regret my actions by dawn, I still enjoy the moment while it lasts.“Stay down”. He said. I smiled back.“Let me get you water”.“No”. My fingers reached out, grabbing his shirt close. He held my hand back, staring into my eyes, his silence stretched between us.“Youre not in your right state for this”.“What?”.“Brenda please”.The tension, the pull, his grip, the way his breathing synced with mine. I didn't want it to end. I wanted all of it.“Make me forget that this is wrong”. I raised a bit, trying to kiss him but he pulled away like I was some sort of toddler who shouldn't be found in this state in the arms of a man.“Brenda..”“I think you're not man enough”. I brushed my lips, against his, this time he didn't pull away. He allowed me to kiss him, I pressed my lips against his for the second
