Blurb. The Substitute Wife.I married a man who detests me, right from the day my mother forced me into the union he never once looked me in the eyes, Samuel would rather fuck other women in our matrimonial bed than let me come anywhere close to it.Then one night, it happened, he came home drunk like he always did, and just when I tried cleaning him up the way I always do.He grabbed me and made love to me, that was the best thing that ever happened to me, now I'm pregnant and I'm very sure the baby isn't is cause I had been fucking the neighbor for a month now.His neighbor had been the shoulder I always leaned on, we made so much love and memories that I didn't think of the maltreatment Samuel inflicted on me continuously.Samuel thinks the child is his.My neighbor has threatened to blow the cover if I allow another man to father his child begging me to be his wife.Chapter 71.The Substitute BridePart-1.Sofia Pov.“Samuel …Samuel please…I’m…I'm your wife, Samuel please”. I plead

Chapter 73.The Substitute BridePart-3.Sofia Pov.The next morning the ray of sunlight woke me up, I had dozed off last night after a thorough lovemaking.I crawled out of bed lazily, grabbing a robe around me making sure I tied it properly at the edge.“He left already”. I whispered, noticing the house smelled of his cologne and the cleaners were around to do their normal cleaning, they came once every two days but Samuel would intentionally litter the place to put me to work.“Good morning Mrs Sofia”. The head cleaner greeted me.“Good morning Mrs Grace”. I answered with a smile seeing they were almost done with both the overall clean-up and the house smelled like new notes.I headed straight to the kitchen, the kitchen sparkling clean, her staff had put the food back in the fridge and made sure the whole place was spotless.“I should pack all of these for him since Samuel didn't touch them”. I searched the fridge to see if I had kept it frozen for more than a week and the chef wou

Chapter 75The Substitute BridePart-5.Sofia Pov.“ This time, do yourself the favour of giving me a straight answer so we can get this over with, I have quite some more important things to do than go back and forth with a whore”. Samuel cursed, his words cutting through the deepest part of me.His words landed like a heavy weight on my shoulder, one weight I wasn't meant to carry or shoulder alone if only he treated me with the tiniest piece of regard, just maybe I won't seek love and affection in the hands of another man.My lips trembled but no words came out, and yes he's right, what other words qualify a wife that has an extramarital affair after being starved from minty, fun fact I didn't go so far. I'm doing it with a random neighbor, one who can't enter the room Samuel enters without clenching.Samuel wasn't wrong, he was right and that's the reason his words hurt the most, he had pushed me to my limits, I finally have no standard anymore, I would spread my legs wide for a man

Chapter 77.The Substitute BridePart-7.Sofia Pov.Voices…Faint voices…“…she just blinked”.“Careful…”“…her limb”.“Everybody move”.I blinked.I blinked more than once.Everywhere hurts badly. My whole body felt like some damn rock fell on me, I could feel my bones shaking and my whole body in pain, my eyes suddenly felt too heavy to open, my breath hot, and the whole place like a volcano. The pain came in waves, burning all of me. I could swear I didn't know why it had happened but the pain was evidence of the hardcore I had just survived.I groaned in pain when I felt a needle being pushed into my buttocks, the tears poured like dripped but still I could not hold the pain in, my whole body on fire.“Is she fine?”. The voice echoed from a distance. I could swear I knew the voice, fear consumed me, my heart began to race, the nurses noticed and I could see them adjusting the drip, my eyes were barely open and the other was reducing the room temperature.“Her eyes “. The voice came

Chapter 79. The Substitute BridePart-9. Sofia Pov. “I’m pregnant”. I repeated, slowly allowing him to take it all in.” Samuel found out about the baby hence all of these”. I added. Andrew took some steps backward, I could see his tension rise, he ran his hands through his hair. “Wow”. He blurted out, I expected his reaction, the same way I got when the doctor pronounced me pregnant, that was the exact shock on my face. “Is it…?”. He pointed towards me then back at himself asking with his eyes if our secret moment was the reason or if he was mistaken, I nodded. “In all honesty, I don't know why”. I raised my hands from the dude in the bed, the same hand a drip was being passed through, slowly I caressed my stomach while Andrew watched me taking longer than expected to process the news of the baby. His jaw clenched, his brows furrowed. Of course, he knew, every fixkun day I run from my marriage when the world gets loud and his arm is the only warmth I need, his touch the only s
