Mireya’s POV “What are you saying, Aurelia?” She didn’t respond. She just smiled at me, her eyes telling something I couldn’t decipher. “Aurelia.” I held her wrist out of desperation for an answer then her smile faded. Her forehead creased and equaled my confusion. Here she goes again, acting all confused after telling something that would flip my world. “Aurelia what is wrong with you?!” I don’t want to be mad at her but I've had enough. I know I shouldn’t put all my irritation on her but I couldn’t help it. Mireya’s POV No. He must be mistaken. He was just lonely. I shook my head refusing to accept his confession. “You’re just lonely, Azrael. You have been kept inside the dungeon for all your life. My presence was just new to you. The bond we shared made you believe you had feelings for me, but you don’t. It’s just the stupid bond that connects us—“ “Sever the bond then,” My forehead creased but I didn’t speak. I just stared at him. “Sever the bond and if my feelings for you stayed then what will you do, Mireya?” His gaze became even more intense. There’s already a distance between us but it still feels like he was standing too close. “Nothing,” I bravely responded and fought his stare. “Because those stupid feelings of yours won’t linger, Azrael,” I stormed out of the room cutting that stupid conversation. He will just keep on insisting on his stupid feelings and I will keep on denying it…because I am right. He wasn’t falling for me. He doesn’t have any reason to fall for me.

Mireya’s POV I roamed my eyes around. Who was that? “What’s wrong, Mireya?” Mom asked, probably confused about the way I am acting. “You didn’t hear anything?” I couldn’t help but ask. Maybe it wasn’t just me. Maybe she heard it too. With the light coming from the moon above us, I saw how my mother’s brows furrowed. “Heard what?” Before I could respond a loud tapping on the floor took our attention. As I turned my head in the direction from where the sound came from, I saw a silhouette stepping out of what seemed like an abandoned house. As the silhouette came closer and closer a figure of an old man became clear. He wears an old grey robe that seems to be worn for ages. Mireya’s POV I was trying to convince myself that Elder Vitus is lying. Maybe he had it all wrong. Maybe he was mistaken about Azrael…but the way he looked at me says it all. He meant every word. He knows something about Azrael that I don’t. “H-He won’t c-cause any h-harm.
