I slammed the restroom door behind me, still reeling from anger as I walked back into the bar. I looked over at Jacob and Melissa, they were chatting happily about something. The only thing on my mind at that time was to get home, but Melissa still had my badge, and I didn't want to butt into their conversation.I stood for a moment, my back against the wall as I took deep breaths with my eyes closed.
