THALIA’S POVEileen’s words still echoed inside my head long after the announcement ended. For a moment, I didn’t even react. I just stood there in the middle of the great hall while students around me continued talking excitedly about training evaluations and resource allocations like they hadn’t just been handed a death sentence. Two days. That was all I had.My fingers curled slowly at my sides as the weight of it settled deeper into my chest. A full moon transformation wasn’t just training. It was exposure. It was a form of control. It was truth forced into the open whether I was ready or not.And I wasn’t ready. Not even close.Beside me, Eileen was still watching my face carefully. “You’re not speaking,” she said quietly. “That usually means you’re either thinking too much or planning something illegal.”“I might be doing both,” I muttered. She sighed. “Wonderful.” But I wasn’t joking. Because my thoughts had already gone somewhere darker. If I transformed in front of everyone,

THALIA’S POVI watched Ragnar walk away, his heavy footsteps echoing down the long stone hallway until they completely died out. A sharp pang of pain shot straight through my heart. His harsh words kept ringing in my head, over and over again. Selfish. He really thought I only cared about myself, but he didn't understand how heavy this burden was.Caleb opened his mouth, stepping forward like he wanted to say something to me. His eyes were calm as usual, and it made my anger burn even hotter.“Thalia, listen to me for a second,” Caleb started, his voice smooth.“Don't,” I snapped, cutting him off before he could even finish his sentence. “Just leave me alone, Caleb. Don't speak to me, and don't follow me. You're not ready to tell me the truth, so I'm not ready to listen to you. There's no use. Just stay the fuck away from me from now on. ”I turned around and walked away as fast as my legs could carry me. I needed to get away from both of them. I kept walking down the winding corri

RAGNAR’S POVWhen I told Thalia I was done with her and the whole plan, I had truly meant it.I was completely exhausted. I had tried absolutely everything to make her see that I was on her side and that I wanted to help her, but she just kept pushing me away. She didn't trust me anymore, and I hated it. I hated how she looked at me with so much suspicion. I knew it had something to do with Caleb but I had asked her so many times to tell me what I did wrong. Instead of the truth, all I got were vague answers and that pissed me off more than anything. For goodness sake, she was my mate. And yet, she let Caleb hold and kiss her like she was his. She completely disregarded my feelings and that hurt more than anything. And just this morning in the corridor, she had acted like she was the only person in the entire world who had problems.I didn't come to this academy for fun. I came here to save my pack, to keep my people from dying, but she couldn't see that at all. She was completely

RAGNAR’S POVCaleb’s question didn't catch me off guard. Deep down, the exact same terrifying thought had been clawing at the back of my mind ever since that red-haired bastard pinned me to the dirt.“I'm not certain,” I told Caleb, my voice tight. I forced myself to take a slow breath, setting my grievances against him aside for the first time. The jealousy and the anger didn't matter anymore. Not when Thalia was out there in danger. “But if we want to find her and Eileen, we have to work together. We don't have a choice.”Caleb looked at me, his eyes dark with the same heavy worry that was suffocating me. He nodded once.It was already so late, and the silence of the curfew hours made the dread feel even heavier. We couldn't just sit in our room and do nothing. We had to find them.First, we sneaked out of our room, keeping low and avoiding the main corridors until we reached Eileen’s private dorm. My heart hammered against my ribs as Caleb pushed the door open. I stepped inside,

THALIA’S POVBefore I could even ask Jamie how he knew we were down here, a sharp echo of shouting and running boots bounced down the corridor. The guards were already coming back.“Move, now.” Jamie hissed, shoving Ragnar and Caleb toward the exit. “I’ll stall them. Go.”We didn't waste a second. We slipped out of the underground cemetery, keeping low and moving through the shadows until we burst out into the crisp morning air at the very back of the academy grounds.Eileen let out a long, ragged breath, leaning against the stone wall. “God, I am starving,” she muttered.I stared at her, completely bewildered, but honestly, I didn't even have the energy to comment on her appetite. My mind was completely fried. I just wanted a single moment where I didn't have to think about the shapeshifters, the dead bodies, or the massive target on my back.“We aren't safe yet,” Ragnar said, his voice dropping to a low octave. He looked between Caleb and me. “We have to find the three students and
