🍃 Arria POV My father. He looked the same as before. There were perhaps a few more gray strands in his hair, but that was all. Except for the worry in his eyes. He wasn’t sure I would go to him. I glanced at Fenrir beside me. He simply let go of my hand. It was encouragement enough. I crossed the three steps separating me from my father in an instant, and then I was caught in the familiar bear hug I had grown up with. His scent enveloped me, and somehow, for the first time, it all felt real. “My little girl,” he said, his voice tight and his hold on me even tighter. I smiled against him. “You’re back, Daddy,” I murmured. “Yes, I am,” he confirmed. “We both are.” Then his left arm released me just long enough to pull my mother into the embrace too.
