Serena’s POVBriefly, Dahlia had stepped out of the house to go for grocery shopping, and Audrey had left earlier this morning for a meeting. Galatia was in his office, busy, so I had the house to myself in a way, at least, for a little while, so I decided to make lunch. The last thing I wanted to do was sit around without doing anything. Back home, I would be at my bakery at this moment, or doing one thing or the other, but here, I didn’t really have much to do. Walking to the fridge to, I stood in front of it to scan the inside to see what was there. I was planning to make creamy pasta, so I wanted to see my options. After bringing out all I needed, I walked to the cabinet to pull out the pasta, but my hand wouldn’t reach it.
