ELARAI woke up to silence and a chain around my wrists.Kate was asleep on the cot across from me, sitting upright with her head dropped to one side and her arms folded. She had not gone to bed, but had to stop moving at some point.Sleep had taken her where she sat.I could feel the full moon through the roof and that feeling sat with me for a moment.
