Lahat ng Kabanata ng Bound by the Alpha's Contract: Kabanata 41 - Kabanata 50

Chapter 42Elara's PovI've never been this scared before. The fear I felt can't be compared to that I felt after the disappearance of my dad or the death of my sister. The doctor's words hung in the air, haunting me. I was struggling to breathe and keeping my cool at the same time.“The Luna is…” The doctor said, his eyes went back to the folder. My heart stopped and my hand pressed harder against my stomach. It was a reflex I just couldn't control. He knows. He's going to say it. Cassian will know I'm pregnant. He'll know I broke the contract and he would know about my pups. He may harm them. He may harm me.The snow outside the hospital window had turned the world white. Cold seeped through the glass, but inside my chest was hot. I was sweating despite the cold. The doctor looked at the paper. Then at me and back at Cassian."The Luna is suffering from severe exhaustion and low blood pressure. There are signs of fibroids in her uterine wall. That explains the nausea and the fatigue

Chapter 44 Elara's PovNow, Cassian let go of my hands and ran straight for Seris. I did too, but before I could run a little six steps, Adrian's strong hands shot out and gripped me like a thief who had committed a felony.“Let me go, Adrian. Now, I command you." But he didn't move a step and just held on stronger, not daring to let me go. I struggled against his grip, all to no avail. The crowd increased. It was total frenzy and chaos outside. Adrian held me still, leading me back to the vehicle."The Luna is a murderer.""I knew nothing good would come from her. A witch claiming to be a werewolf. A witch who had eaten all the pups in her womb and is out to eat ours.""Our children aren't safe anymore. Burn the witch. Kill her." And all of a sudden the people who had once worshipped the ground I walked on now turned against me. But Seris, her hair… her white flowing hair.Who was she? Why had she always worn a wig? Is this a coincidence? Now, I felt the black vein crawl deeper into

Chapter 46Elara's PovI stared at Cassian slowly fading from my hands and whispering those words to me. ‘My father was dead.’ But Rowan told me something different, or was he trying to cheer me up and not add to my burden? I let go of Cassian's body, it dropped to the floor. His blood was black. I hadn't seen something like this before. The elders were screaming and mouthing some words in the background. But I couldn't hear or make out the words they said. My focus was solely on my dad. He couldn't be dead, no. Slowly, I crept away from Cassian's body.He stretched his hands out to mine, I looked away. Pushing the tears, threatening to leave my eyes.“Luna, what are you doing? He is reaching for you, or did you also kill the Alpha?" Slowly, I raised my head to Kyle. His eyes were furious.I pressed my palms to Cassian's chest now, pushing down my grief. His heart stuttered, once, twice and then it kept beating. Barely. His lips were blue and his face was gray. The poison was spreadin

Chapter 48 Elara's PovRowan stood in the gap, snow swirling around him like ashes from a fire. This year, the cold was more. His eyes found the blood first. Then the healer's body and slowly, at me.He paused when he saw the blood and slowly looked up at the Elders. His face went pale and quiet. Then he turned back to me. Adrian's men were about to take me out of the room."Step away from the Luna." Rowan said slowly."Rowan…" Adrian called, drawing his sword."You can't be in this chamber, this is trespassing…""Step. Away." Rowan's voice was quiet and that made it worse. Adrian's sword trembled, but Rowan didn't blink.Lord Kyle turned. "This is Silver Crest business, Alpha Rowan. You have no jurisdiction here and the Luna is guilty.""I have every business. Elara is my friend. And she's innocent." He walked toward me. "I'm taking her.""She's under arrest…"Rowan pulled out his phone. "I have your secrets and evil deeds on here, Lord Kyle, you don't want to know what it would do

Chapter 50 Elara's PovDespite the darkness in the room, I saw his eyes. Something flashed across them. It looked like terror. The Rowan I knew was never afraid, so why now? He stumbled backwards, muttering some words under his breath.I struggled to my feet, but the chains were too heavy for me."What's wrong?" I managed to mutter. He shook his head, but didn't say a word."You are scaring me."In a second, he regained his composure and walked up to me."I'm sorry. I just got overwhelmed." He smoothed out my hair again and this time, Riley whined."Rowan, what are you hiding? What are you not telling me? Have you known Seris was Calliope? Is that why you tried so hard to get me out of Cassian's life?""No." His voice was different now."Then what?"He looked at the door. Then back at me. His jaw tightened."Because I saw her die."The words hit me like a fist. I stumbled backwards."What?""Calliope. I saw her body. I touched her cold hands. I watched them lower her into the ground.
