THE LUNA WHO CONQUERED DEATH のすべてのチャプター: チャプター 141 - チャプター 150

One week later - Luna 19.5 months old, Alice 15 months old.The intervention happened on a cold Thursday morning.Marcus, Sarah, Adrian, Katherine, Dr. Chen, and I. All gathered in my office while Luna watched Alice in the other room."This isn't sustainable," Dr. Chen said bluntly. "Luna is clinically depressed, on medication, and caring for a traumatized toddler full-time. She's nineteen months old. This arrangement is harming both children."Sarah flinched. "You want me to take Alice back.""I want Alice to have a primary caregiver who can actually care for her. Whether that's you, Marcus, or someone else." Dr. Chen's voice softened. "Sarah, I'm not judging. But you're barely functional yourself. You can't pour from an empty cup.""So what? We abandon our daughter?" Marcus's jaw clenched. "Just hand her off because we're broken?""You're not abandoning her. You're acknowledging reality. Alice needs stability neither of you can provide right now." Katherine pulled up observations. "

One month later, Luna is 21 months old, Alice is 16 months old.Alice said a full sentence for the first time on a rainy Tuesday."Luna, I want juice please."Five words. Subject, verb, object, politeness. Grammatically perfect for a sixteen-month-old.Luna stopped mid-step, staring at Alice. "What did you say?""Want juice please?" Alice repeated, less certain now."That was a whole sentence, grabby! A real sentence!" Luna swept her up, spinning. "You're talking! Actually talking!"Alice giggled, delighted by Luna's reaction even if she didn't understand why. "Juice?""Yes, you brilliant little monster. You got all the juice." Luna carried her to the kitchen, practically glowing.I watched from the doorway, seeing Luna genuinely happy for the first time in weeks. The medication had evened out, therapy was helping, and small moments like this reminded her why she kept fighting."Mama, did you hear? Full sentence! At sixteen months!" Luna poured juice carefully. "Dr. Moira said most to

Two months later, Luna is 23 months old, and Alice is 18 months old.Alice called me Mama for the first time on a quiet Sunday morning. Not by accident. Deliberately."Mama, can I have milk please?"I froze, glass halfway to the counter. "What did you call me?""Mama?" Alice looked uncertain. "Luna said, You're my mama now. Grandma is an old name. Mama is a new name."I looked at Luna, who was carefully not meeting my eyes."We talked about it," Luna said quietly. "Alice asked why she calls me Luna but calls you Grandma when you're her mother now. I said she could choose what felt right to her. She chose Mama.""I'm Mama, Adrian is Daddy, Luna is Luna." Alice recited proudly. "Right?""Right, grabby." Luna poured her milk. "Perfect family names."Alice beamed, drinking her milk happily. Completely unaware, she'd just rewritten our entire family structure with eight words.I pulled Luna aside later. "You should have asked me first.""Should I have? You adopted her. You're raising her.

Two weeks later, Luna is 24 months old, and Alice is 19.5 months old.Marcus appeared at the Pack House without warning on a Tuesday morning. He looked terrible. Thinner, older, like grief had carved years into his face. But his eyes were clear in a way they hadn't been for months."I need to see Alice," he said, without a preamble. "Just to see her. Make sure she's okay.""Marcus, you terminated your rights. Legally, you have no claim to visitation." I kept my voice gentle but firm."I know. I'm not asking for rights. Just asking to see my daughter one time. Please, Sera." His voice cracked. "I need to know she's happy."Alice was in the garden with Luna, both of them covered in dirt from planting flowers. Alice's laugh carried across the yard."She's happy. Thriving, actually. Calling me Mama, Adrian Daddy, settled completely into our family." I studied Marcus carefully. "Seeing her might hurt more than help.""I don't care if it hurts. I need to see her." Marcus looked toward the g

One month later - Luna is 28 months old, Alice is 24 months old.Alice turned two on a sunny Saturday in April. She woke everyone at dawn, jumping on our bed screaming, "I'm two! I'm two! Birthday cake now!""Alice, it's six AM. No cake at six AM." Adrian groaned, pulling a pillow over his head."But I'm two! Two-year-olds get cake!" Alice bounced harder."Two-year-olds also listen to their parents about appropriate cake times," I said, catching her mid-bounce. "Breakfast first, then presents, then party, then cake.""That's too much waiting!" Alice wailed dramatically.Luna appeared in the doorway, hair disheveled. "Why is everyone screaming at dawn?""Birthday excitement. She wants cake now." I held the struggling toddler. "Help me convince her that patience exists.""Alice, remember what we talked about? Good things come to people who wait and don't scream." Luna sat on the bed. "You want presents, right?"Alice stopped struggling. "Yes!""Then you have to wait patiently. No presen
