Alaia POV When Max fell to lie on his side, I knew it was almost over. It had been fifteen minutes since everything had started, so it wouldn’t be long now. The pool of blood underneath him was huge, and there was no way that he had much more to give. His gums were pale white, and his eyes had lowered to small slits.
