Sam And Laura

Sam’s POV“It was nice doing this with you” I said, hugging Margaret when she stood up ready to go. She and I had spent hours talking and catching up that we didn't realize that the day was almost over.“I’ll call you tonight,” I whispered against her hair before she finally pulled back with a shy smile, her cheeks still flushed and pink. “Okay Sam.Drive safe.”I escorted her out of the cafe, watching her climb into the waiting taxi I booked earlier and I and remained there until the car disappeared into the traffic.I got into my own car, nodding to my driver.“Let’s go,Francis”As the car merged into road, I brought out my phone and typed a quick message to Laura; It's done. Laura has agreed to go on a date with me. Everything is going as you planned. As soon as The message signaled that it had been received, Laura called. I tried ignoring her by declining the first, second and third call but by the fourth time I realized she was not giving up so I just picked up.“Hey Sam. Why weren'

Vivian's Weakness

Laura’s POVOne could say that I have not been this happy in quite a long time.I was simply drunk with joy, twirling in front of the full-length mirror in the master bedroom of Alexander's house like a story book princess who just got betrothed to her prince charming. My plan which I had nurtured for months was blooming beautifully. Margaret will soon be isolated, confused and when she runs straight into the arms of my carefully placed pawn, she will be nothing but more devastated. And Alexander well, he was still mine even if he thought he could push me aside.I laughed to myself, recalling how easy it had been to hook Sam. A little transaction of $500,000 to an underage high school girl who was desperate for money to spend one night with the popular womanizer and get on record. That was all it took to get the leverage I needed to pull him into my web. I made him think that all he had to do was to play the hero for Margaret, but he was really just another piece on my board. And the bes

Wrong Love

Margaret’s POVI was beyond distracted at the office today. For hours on end I kept replaying the image of the beautiful bouquet of red and white roses Sam had dropped off earlier with a small note that read:Looking forward to a beautiful night with you pricesSigned Your not so secret admirer,Sam.He had been such a perfect gentleman ever since I agreed to his proposal and I remain at awe with the way he listened, respected my boundaries and also how he made me feel seen without trying to force me to be something I’m not. He was basically all I ever wanted in a partner. Most ladies might consider this as the barest minimum but it was more than a grand gesture to me.This was my first time being treated like this let alone receiving flower gifts from anyone. I didn't even receive one the night Alexander asked me to be his girlfriend or when he asked me to be his prom date. I was still lost in those thoughts, my fingers absently tracing the edge of an office file, when my office door

Sex

Margaret’s POVCall it lack of self control or the extreme effect of being sexually starved for so long, one thing I was sure of is that I wanted Sam so badly and I couldn't wait another minute to have him. That single kiss at the restaurant led me to a hotel room with him, naked and on the bed, ready to be devoured but he was delaying and holding back for reasons best known to him but the little slut inside me wanted more so I pulled down his briefs and dragged him close in between my legs that I could now feel his dick against my clit as I wrapped my legs around his waist signaling him to do that which was now inevitable.Filled with desire,Sam cupped my face “Are you sure?” he muttered in between moans, his thumb tracing my lower lip.My heart was racing beyond control but I managed to nod. “Yes, Sam. I am.”Consent given,he proceeded to kiss me tenderly on the neck, collarbone and then lower, every touch sent sparks through me. His hands moved around my body with reverence and precis

An Alliance

Alexander’s POVThe image on my tablet turned my stomach so bad that I felt like vomiting. I should have known that it would come to this but I had forced myself to believe that they were just friends just like highschool. Accompanying the photo, was a video which just heightened whatever emotion it was that I was feeling at that moment as I watched it repeatedly trying to convince myself that it might be fake but deep down,I knew the truth.Seconds later, the door to my office opened and Margaret stepped in, looking wary and deprived of sleep but trying to hide it. I bent my head, intentionally letting the silence stretch so as to make her uncomfortable.I pointed to a seat directly opposite mine without lifting my eyes from the tablet“Sit down, Margaret”She moved slowly, reeking of confusion as she lowered herself into the seat. “Out with it, Alexander. What's the issue with you now? And by the way, did you have to sound like that over the phone?”It was at this juncture that I looked

Margaret Did That?

Laura’s POV“Finally, I’ve got that bitch’s new address” I said staring at the piece of paper that bore Margaret's address I snatched my purse from the bed.I had spent the last few days trying every trick in the book to get my father back home, but he had adamantly refused and even went in to block my number.Mom is currently at her lowest and the only person who might have any influence over him was Margaret , the ungrateful whore who had caused all of this chaos in the first place.I stepped out of Alexander’s house, which I guess is my house as well and got into the rolls royce phantom that was already being warmed up by the driver.“Good morning, Mrs. Martinez,” he greeted politely when I got into the back seat of the car I didn’t respond.I had no business talking to a peasant whose job is to serve me. I threw the piece of paper containing Margaret's address to him. “Take me to this there. And next time, don’t get into the car before letting me in”“I'm sorry Mrs Martinez. It won't

Plain Stupidity

Laura’s POVAs my heavy eyelids slowly opened, the first thing I felt was a sharp, piercing pain in my head. I tried to sit up, but a wave of dizziness forced me back against the pillows. Why am I in a hospital? The last thing I remembered was Margaret’s face filled with anger, her slap, the sickening crack as my head hit the table.“Doctor! Doctor Zach!! She’s awake!”Alexander’s voice echoed from the doorway and he sounded worried? I blinked, trying to focus as footsteps rushed into the room. A male doctor in a white coat entered first, followed closely by Vivian and Alexander. The doctor immediately moved to check my vitals, his stethoscope cold against my chest because reality was beginning to set in and I was scared, terrified actually. Had they figured it out? Did they know the pregnancy was fake? My mind raced through various thoughts and possibilities with panic. If Alexander discovered the lie now, especially after everything with Eduardo and Margaret, I would lose him forever.

Alexander Has Feelings For Another

Alexander’s POVThere have only been a few times where I was this angry. I didn't even know I cared a lot for the baby until this happened. I just felt lost, lonely and extremely enraged. To cap it all,the culprit happened to be Margaret of all people. Why wasn't it one stupid random dude looking to score some point or even Sam,so I could deal with him mercilessly without emotions. The hospital was now beginning to suffocate me which led me to start making my way out of the building, but as soon as I was outside,I spotted her immediately, standing near the entrance,by a palm tree like a lost puppy. She was pacing up and down, looking detached and worried but I couldn't care less.My legs carried me toward her before I could even think, my fists clenched at my sides.“Hey you,” I snarled, jamming my finger toward her chest as I closed the distance, standing so close I could see the fear flicker in her eyes. “You’ve succeeded in killing my baby, right? The only other thing that mattered t

The Possible End

Margaret’s POV My sight became blurry bit by bit due to the uncontrollable tears that left my eyes as I shoved one last shirt into the suitcase, my wrists shaking so badly that I could barely zip it closed. How could I have been so stupid as to let myself believe that happiness was possible when everything I touched turned to poison? Cielin sat on the edge of the bed, her hand gently rubbing my back as sobs wracked my body. “Margaret, breathe. Please. You’re going to make yourself sick.” “I’m just so stupid,” I choked out between sobs, wiping my face with a rough piece of clothing “Why did I let myself fall for such a scam? I should have known this was too good to be true.Because of my own carelessness,Laura has lost her baby because of me and my career is probably over after that stupid picture Laura obviously took of us at the restaurant. I don’t even know how to go about any of it. I’m just tired, Cielin. I just want to end all of this pain.” Cielin pulled me into a tight hu

A Possible Reunion

Margaret’s POVThe high court complex loomed in front of me like a giant beast as I walked closer to the large terrazzo staircase that led into that building. My hands became extremely clammy standing at the entrance.I was scared, terrified actually but I kept repeating the same words in my head like a mantra: You can get through this, Margaret. You built this career with your own hands, don't let them take it from you.I took a deep breath, adjusted the strap of my bag, stepped inside and headed straight for Chief Justice Bartholomew’s office. He had called me the night I received the letter from the court warden, sounding worried for me over the phone: “Make sure you come to my office unfailingly tomorrow, that's if you still want to practice law in this state.” The words had kept me up all night. This morning, I had woken up in the small, scrubby apartment Cielin and I had managed to move into that same day, my body still sore from the emotional and physical exhaustion of the past
