Pursuing My Rejected Luna のすべてのチャプター: チャプター 71 - チャプター 80

NicolaiThroughout the first full day of events, Skye and I maintain our distance. When we pass in hallways, it's with polite greetings. "Alpha Woolf." "Luna Vale."When we're seated near each other at functions, we make brief, neutral conversation about trade agreements, regional pack politics, and I’m struck by just how knowledgeable she is. It’s clear her role as Luna of Ironwood pack is more than surface level. Still, our interactions never venture into anything personal. Nothing that could be misconstrued. We're never alone. Never too close. But I'm hyperaware of her every movement. The way she touches her stomach when she thinks no one is watching. The exhaustion she hides behind her Luna smile. The tension in her shoulders whenever Jaxon speaks.I ache to reach for her, to pull her close and rub her back, stroke her silky dark hair, to soothe her. But it’s not my place. Not yet. So I distract myself by watching Jaxon too. I watch his possessive hand on her back. The way he mon

SkyeThe first call I make is to Diana. I tap my fingernails nervously on my desk while I wait for her to pick up. When she does, I don’t even give her a chance to speak. "I'm ready," I say when she answers. "I need to file for divorce. Now.""Oh, sweetheart." Diana's voice is full of relief and concern. "Are you sure?"I swallow down my irritation at that question, reminding myself she’s only asking because she’s worried for me. But she doesn’t need to be. We’ve been over this, and I know it won’t be easy. But that’s why we have a plan in place. "I've never been more sure of anything." I tell her confidently, hoping she hears the certainty in my voice. "Then we'll support you. Whatever you need." She assures me. I thank her and ask her to put my father on the phone, knowing he’s nearby. He’s never too far from her side, a fact I’m trying to accept more and more. "I need you here," I tell him , skipping all the pleasantries. "I'm filing for divorce from Jaxon, and I need the pack'

Jaxon Thankfully, the council doesn't make an immediate decision. I have a feeling it wouldn’t go my way if they did. "We need time to deliberate," Elder Patricia says. "To consult pack law. To consider the implications for pack stability.""How long?" Skye asks."Three days. We'll reconvene then for individual testimonies from both Alpha Jaxon and Luna Skye." Elder Graham's expression is grave. "This is not a decision we take lightly."The session ends, and I watch Skye leave with her father and Diana flanking her like guards. She doesn't look back.Over the next two days, I can almost feel the pack dividing. Some support Skye. I hear it in whispered conversations that stop when I enter a room. See it in the sympathetic looks pack members give her, the way they go out of their way to be helpful to her or wish her well. They've watched how she's been treated. How hard she's tried. How gracious she's been even in the face of humiliation.Others support me. Traditional wolves who belie

Skye After my testimony, Diana and my father give theirs."The Greenwood River Pack will accept Skye and her child," my father states formally. "She will not be rogue. She will have safety, protection, and the full support of our pack."Diana adds her testimony about Dalton's imprisonment, how I helped when Jaxon refused, how I've maintained grace under impossible circumstances. Then pack members speak. The beta couple who witnessed Jaxon leaving me in the storm speak first. Their testimony is emotional, damning. I think I see Elder Patricia even flinch when they describe the conditions I was left to fend for myself in, with no supplies or adequate source of warmth. I shiver at the memory. The housekeepers who watched Cassandra move into the Alpha house, who were asked to cater to her needs as if she were the Luna, describe my quiet dignity in the face of humiliation. Some of the guards who always traveled to pack functions as part of our protection detail talk about the coldness Jax

JaxonI return to the Alpha house—now just my house, not ours. The realization hits me as I walk through the front door. This place that should have been our home, our sanctuary, the place we raised our child together, has never felt less like either of those things.Skye has moved her essentials to a guest room on the opposite side of the house. As far from our—my—bedroom as possible while still remaining under the same roof. The room feels empty without her. But I can’t bring myself to move, not when her scent is still so strong here. I go about my duties in a fog. But I can’t shut out the rumors flying around me if I tried. The whole pack is buzzing with news of the divorce. The worst moment of my life reduced to nothing more than fodder for their gossip. I hear whispers as I walk through the grounds. See the way pack members look at me—some with sympathy, many with what looks like relief. Relief for Skye.Sure, some still support me. Traditional wolves who think Skye should have
