"It's going to break her," Rosa whispered, her tears falling freely now. "That fool—that monster, André—he took advantage of her when she was already drowning in grief. She'd just lost her baby, Ricardo. Her body was still healing, her mind reeling from the loss, and he raped her. How can we tell her that? How can we—" She couldn't finish. "I know, my love." Ricardo's voice broke on the words. His arms trembled as he held her. "I know. But what can we do? Who wouldn't be shattered to hear that the person she trusted as a brother—as family—violated her at her most vulnerable moment? When her body and mind were trying to heal from the loss of her precious baby..." His voice dropped to barely a whisper. "André has done the worst thing imaginable to our daughter. The absolute worst." Rosa turned to face him, her tear-streaked face a mask of anguish. "Maybe we shouldn't tell her. Maybe we should spare her this—" "No, my love. We will tell her just like we agreed to," he repli

Rosa’s head snapped toward the sky as she heard the sound of the helicopter.“Ricardo!”She didn’t wait for his reply. Her feet carried her swiftly toward the balcony railing, one hand instinctively resting beneath her heavy bump.Ricardo was right behind her, his hand settling protectively around her waist. “I am here, my love,” he murmured.“She’s here. Our baby girl is back.”Without another word, she turned and made for the exit.Ricardo chuckled softly. “Careful, my love.”“Our daughter is home!”She shouted happily. The helicopter descended onto the private landing pad. Staff gathered at a respectful distance while security moved into position.Rosa stepped out of the main building, her gaze fixed on the aircraft. The door swung open and her breath caught.Tarzan stepped out first, then turned to help Lena down. For a moment, Rosa simply stared. Her daughter looked different—not unrecognizable, but there's something different about her. She looks more confident and more sure o

“It’s Christy…”“Come in.”The door creaked open. Christy’s smiling face appeared in the gap before she stepped inside, her eyes flicking between Tarzan and me as if she’d walked straight into a minefield. She had changed into her usual work uniform—a simple sundress—and her hair was pulled back in a loose ponytail.“Did I come at a bad time?” she asked, brow furrowing as she took in Tarzan’s stony expression.“Oh, not really,” I replied, forcing a lightness into my voice that I didn’t quite feel. Her face broke into a wide smile. “Welcome back again, Lena.” She rushed forward and wrapped her arms around me in a warm embrace. “I’ve missed you so much.”“I’ve missed you too,” I said, hugging her back. When we pulled apart, she was already talking.“So tell me all about your new school!”“I’ll take a walk around the estate,” Tarzan interrupted, his voice flat.“Okay,” I answered, watching him carefully. He left without another word, closing the door softly behind him. The click of the l

“I may be Ricardo’s cousin, but I’m not a Ricardo. I am from his maternal side.” He paused. “We share blood, but not the same last name.” “Doesn’t matter.” I turned back to the horse, running my hand along her neck again. He laughed. “I’ve always admired your fearlessness, you know. From the very beginning.” He stepped closer, lowering his voice. “But do you really think you’d be able to take down Ricardo? Do you know how many have tried to do the exact same thing?” He shook his head slowly. “They’re all dead now. Every single one.” I didn’t respond. “Anyway,” he continued, his tone lightening again, “why not focus on the main culprit? Andrés? Why should the innocent ones have to pay for the crime of one person? You do realize Rosa is pregnant, don’t you?” My hand froze on the horse’s neck. “I didn’t say I would actually do it.” “Well, you should.” His voice was almost a whisper now. “It’s only justified if Andrés pays for his own sins. Besides…” He shrugged, as if this were t

“That’s an expensive brand, babe. You don’t have to spend so much money on an outfit for me.” “Oh, please.” She rolled her eyes, set the outfit down on the bed, then walked up to me. “What do you mean I can’t spend so much money on my man? Are you kidding me right now? You are my man.” She sounded annoyed. “I mean, yes… I’m your man and as the man I should be the one to—” The look on her face made me abandon the explanation. “You’re absolutely right. I appreciate your gift. Thanks, babe.” I said instead. She smiled brightly. “You’re welcome!” She took my wrist and walked me to the vanity , then pushed me down onto a velvet-upholstered stool in front of the large mirror. Before I could protest, she had a comb in her hand and was already running it through my hair. She sprayed some product on it then tried again. “Lena, what are you doing now?” I asked, trying not to laugh at how messy her work was. “I’ll be the one to style your hair, and don’t you dare say no. I didn’t
