Briar’s POVMy eyes fluttered open slowly as I let out a yawn. It took me a moment to remember where I am. I thought I would have had a hard time getting to sleep, but surprisingly, I fell asleep the moment my body touched the bed. Sitting up, I looked to my side expecting to see Knox, but the bed was empty and his side cold like he had been out of it for a while. Jumping out of bed, I wrapped my flying hair in a bun and hurried out of the room, down the stairs. I checked the living room and found Adrian at the dining table. “Good morning, Briar.” Adrian grinned, “I was just about to bring you coffee. You want some?” He raised his cup. I eyed him in response. Trying hard to ignore his steel-grey eyes peering intently at me. And how breathtaking he looks with his semi-wet hair, grey pants, and singlet he had on. “Where is Knox?” “He is at the garden with mum. Did you think he went missing?”“I didn’t think that.” I stuttered in response. He hummed then pressed his fingers together
