11JULIAI folded and unfolded my hands in my lap as he drove. The slight smell of narcotic wiffing in the air, of course he must have gone to supply drugs at the cartel. What the hell am I doing with him?. My hormones has definitely landed me in trouble.I am supposed to be working on a case which he was one of the likely suspects. I hatr my body for how it reacts to him.I hate how giddy I feel when he's close to me. How easily I get riled up. I berated myself for not being firm and walking out.I watched his fingers wrapped around the sterling as he drove into the compound. They would look good around my neck. The hell I need to concentrate. He gently opened my side of the car, holding my hands as he urshed me into his house. I took a good look around- the last time I had been drugged when I was brought in.“Make yourself comfortable”, he said, removing his suit and heading upstairs. My oh my, I thought men looked like bat man when they were dressed in suits but gawwd. That chisle

13:JULIAThe smell of antiseptic hit me before I open my eyes. My lids fluttered gently taking in the white and blue walls.I tried to move but a numbing pain at my side forces me to stay still.A familiar voice calls softly from beside me, “Julia”?.I turned my head slowly surprised to see my uncle with his wife, clutching together like scared children.“Uncle T, I tried, my voice weak.He rushed to my side, hugging me tightly. “Ouch”, I winced at the pain that jabbed my sides.“Ey”, Aunt Margaret scolded, giving him a mean look, “can't you see she's still on pain”?.He looked down nervously, “sorry Jules, I was just worried something bad would happen to you, others involved in the accident are already discharged.I clutched the end of the bed tightly, remembering the explosion. There's no doubt it had to do with the case.Or maybe not, Don Mario was there too, maybe someone wanted to get back at him.“Julia”, Aunt Margaret called, jolting me out of my thoughts. “Your boyfriend left

15JULIAMy body trembled in anticipation, I want to feel his body pressed against mine, but I can't, I need to get information from him not fuck him.“Ray…mond”, I stutter, my breath heaving “I di…didn't come here for that”.His eyes arched, “so what did you come here for, Jules”.I pushed myself aside trying to get some distance between us so I could think. His gaze followed me as I stood by the window, I felt so awkward with my skirt hinged upward, the buttons of my shirt slightly unbuttoned.I felt like a prey in the eyes of the predictor. His gaze piercing through me, I stifled as he walked towards me.There was no competing with him, my body craved for him but I can't keep doing this.He stood behind me in front of the large window silently for some minutes, until I broke the silence.“You never told me Don Paul is your father”, I blurted.“You never asked” he repliedThere was a hundred percent truth in what he said. It had been only sex so far, still I felt a pang in my chest

JULIAIt would have been a lovely ride if Raymond wasn't barking orders in my ear. He had been a great help finding Jennifer; Don Paul's aunt and moving me out of the penthouse.I would have thanked him but he was bitching around, so I clasped my hands on my lap staring out the window. My phone vibrated on the dashboard lighting with a message, his eyes darkened as they lingered on my screen for a moment.I grabbed the phone quickly, putting down the brightness. It was a message from Ben, something sweet and romantic. I usually just react to it, although I have a feeling I might be leading him on.“Who is that”?“What”?, I asked, feigning ignorance.“Don't play dumb with me right now, someone just sent you a message right now, who is it?", He demanded, his grip tightening on the sterling.I rolled my eyes, already tired of his sore granny attitude.“Just because you don't value me, doesn't mean other people don't, Raymond “.He opened his mouth to say something but closed it back, his

JULIAI inhaled deeply before knocking on his door, a gruffy “come in” answered me.Unlike I expected his room was still very much clean even his bed was dressed. I've come to a conclusion that Raymond is a clean freak, the only place he likes to make messes is in my life.“Why are you here”?, He asked, cutting to the chase.Ouch.“I'm here to check up on you, you didn't look well when you came in.He stared at the clock above me, “by 12 midnight”?.I bit my lower lips, feeling my face flush, I didn't want to tell him I used three hours rehearsing what to say and yet here I was out of words.“I'm bored”, I blurted, “let's play a gameI watched the look of confusion flicker on his features. Maybe I shouldn't have said that.“I mean”, I rambled on, “I …we… I shouldn't have-“It's fine, which game”?.“Truth or dare”.He cocked an eyebrow, “you really want to play that with me or you want to ask me questions”.“Both”, I answered sincerely,”you can bail out by a dollar if you don't want to
