41. Awesomeness

SerenaI watched with awe as Darius transformed and I understood why he was referred to as the Lycan King. When I felt the tell signs of change approaching, I went to my room to take off the clothes I was wearing. I didn't want to destroy the clothes Darius had bought for me though I knew that they could get destroyed any time because we were werewolves. I then felt my transformation and I transitioned into my wolf.My wolf wasn't an impressive one. It was what one could call normal. It was around seven feet in length and five feet upwards. The most striking feature of my wolf was the colour. It was vantablack. Its blackness was so striking that when I stood next to a black wolf, which wasn't common, I made them look brown. The eyes of my wolf were also very dark and not even the irises or the pupils could be differentiated. When I walked outside fearful of what I would see, Darius was there and he seemed to have been waiting for me.I wondered how he hadn't changed because I knew

42. Madam Commander

Serena It was a good night.I didn't even realise when I changed back to my normal self but I woke up refreshed and feeling good. But I have learnt this early that if things seem bright in my life, some shit is about to go down.Anyhow, I didn't care about that. When I woke up, Darius wasn't by my side but it was all good because I was fully naked under the blankets.I stretched myself and that's when I smelled him. I inhaled deeply and then opened my eyes and looked at him.“Good morning? Finally awake?" He asked me and I answered him with a smile. We were still in the same room and he was washed and changed.“What time is it? Good morning. I haven't felt this good in a long while," I said not wanting to get out of bed.“Still early. It's six thirty. Still time to get ready and start working," he said and I knew that I had to earn my upkeep in this pack.Darius hadn't said anything about me being a burden in his life or pack but I knew that I couldn't just stay without working.Dari

43. Lessons to Learn

Darius Serena looks sexy as she commands and moves along the arenas and punishes those who defy her. I have been investigating and hiding it from her because I didn't want her to be worried.I know she is strong enough to handle it but why worry her when I should be the one carrying all her worries. Too many things were happening too fast and I wanted to know who it was that thought that he was strong enough to go against me.I couldn't and wouldn't let them. I would kill anyone who thought that they could hurt Serena. She was my life and I would protect her with mine.First, I had established that she wasn't from here though I hadn't told her that. When both my parents called her Page, I started investigating her and if my intel is correct, there are two women known by that name in the werewolf world. Both were from a family long known for its prowess in medicine and no one seems to know what happened to the second one because we found the grave of the first one.She lived around

44. Strange Turns

SerenaI didn't expect things to turn awry that fast and in such a manner.Maybe it was because I had been so used to the peace as we waited for Kael to find the evidence the Elder’s Court asked of him that I don't think that shit could go south and that fast at that.I was in a cell again and this time, it was worse. I was being treated like the worst criminal the werewolf world has ever seen and yes, I was a Vale.My full name is Serena Vale.Who could have ever known?Anyway, I know I am blubbering maybe because of the cold in this room or the nauseating smell or the fact that the silver is getting worse no matter how much I try to absorb the little mana there is in this little dark space. It's so hard to believe that just this morning, I was happy in Darius' embrace and now I am here.Wow!Anyway, let me put you to speed. It has been one week since we left the court and since the new moon and all had been well. But who would have guessed that it was the calm before the storm? As u

45. More Findings

Serena “We have to tie her up so as to make sure that she doesn't run away. She's a criminal and…," the same man said and before he could even finish, he was writhing on the floor hissing in pain. “I warned you not to run your mouth before me again," Darius said as he stepped over the man and I did too.I wondered why he was so sure that I was a criminal since I didn't know him.I was yet to find out why they thought that I was. What would give them that idea? “Jose, do as we agreed and throw that trash out of our pack," Darius ordered. We then left the suite and when I walked outside the door, that's when I realised how many there were. “Anyone else with anything to say?" Darius asked the forty or so werewolf warriors gathered in the small corridor. They were all armed with guns, bows and arrows and swords. Even without being told, I knew that the guns had silver bullets, the arrows had silver heads and even the swords were made of silver. And some were laced with wolfsbane beca

46. Heaps of Accusations

SerenaThe chains around my ankles and hands were digging into me and somehow, I couldn't heal my wounds but I knew that it was the effect of the chains and the cell I was in.These people believed that I was a witch and as such, I had been put in a cell that would suppress my witch powers.Somehow, I was starting to believe that I was one because for starters, I couldn't absorb mana into my body and even my powers were leaving me.I wasn't sure whether this was because of the silver and wolfsbane or if it was because of the cell. But whatever it was, it was among me weaker by the minute. When Darius and I arrived here one hour after the take off from his pack, I felt really guilty for him.“I am sorry that you had to leave important pack matters because of me. It seems like everyday you are dealing with issues all because of me,” I had said on the short walk towards the villa that I now knew hid a very big mansion underneath it, and Darius stopped to look at me."I am pissed off, ye

47. Having Their Moment

Serena The first thing that we were to do was hold a DNA test to prove that I was a Vale. How, you ask since they didn't have any references?Apparently, the Vales had a unique DNA strand because of their ability to harness the hybrid powers. So, that was what they were to be looking for.I was now seated at a table being interviewed by twelve elders led by Elder Green and this time, Darius was with them. Also, there were twenty four other people in the room including Kael and Alina who came from all the packs around our region. They were here to get justice for all their people who I had turned forsaken. There was a long table where the elders were seated in a line and behind them were the other people. I was at the front and this time, I had been given a nice seat.“Serena, do you know why you are here?" Elder Green started the questioning.“Yes," I answered.“Why?" He asked.“Because, apparently, I am a Vale and I am being accused of turning werewolves berserk," I answered.“Yes.

48. Who Am I?

SerenaI took the couch as the omega instructed me and I decided to play along.Maybe, it was going to be fruitful because if he had powers to read whether I was telling the truth or not, then they would see that I wasn't lying and that I truly had amnesia. “So, what's your name?" The doctor took a chair that was in front of the couch I was seated on at a respectable distance and asked.“Serena," I said.“Just Serena?" He asked me as he took a notebook and a pen from his table that was behind him. “Yeah, just Serena,” I said.“But…”"They told you that I am a Vale? So I hear,” I cut him because it was getting exhausting to keep repeating myself."Maybe I am, maybe I am not. It all remains to be seen after they analyse my DNA, isn't it?" I told him and he seemed lost for a moment but he smiled and pretended that I hadn't unsettled him. What I knew was that these doctors had a way they used to get to someone. For instance, he wanted to treat me like a child so that he could see my res

49. The Other Me

SerenaI was walking along a meadow and it was beautiful. Other than the green flowing grass that looked like a beautiful green bed, there were flowers on the edges. One side had red flowers and since I was on the far end, I couldn't see what type of flowers they were. All I could see was the beauty. On the furthest corner of the large meadow, there were purple carnations. How did I know that they were carnations? Because they were my favourite flowers.Somehow, I knew that whoever had planted those flowers did it for me.. I smiled and started running towards them because I could hear the smell calling to me.I don't know why I was here or how I got there but that didn't matter. For the longest time, I didn't have feelings like what flowers I liked or anything like that but somehow, I knew that I loved carnations.I started running but I didn't make as big steps as I wanted and I looked at my feet to see what was wrong.I stopped dead with my eyes bulging out of my sockets because thi

50. Your Best Bet

Serena As I rest on the couch, I feel my energy start to return. Now that I am not on those silver chains, I can absorb in mana and that's when I realised that Eva has given me a drug that is trying to interfere with my brain.I am not sure what he is trying to do but one thing about my system is that it's hard to poison me and that's what I do. I absorb in mana as I expel the drug from my system and I am able to stop it from being absorbed into my bloodstream. The head is subsiding and I pretend that I am asleep and that's when I hear Eva stand and walk towards me.“Serena?" He calls and I pretend that I am totally asleep."Serena?" He calls again and I don't answer and he stands.I follow his movements with my senses and I can hear him dialing on his phone. He then listens as the other side rings and a female receives the call.“Hello?" He says immediately the other side picks.“Does she seem to remember anything?" She asks.“No. I think she genuinely can't remember. I have even u
