Spencer POV My eyes opened and I found myself in a clinically white room, a machine beeped steadily next to me. My entire body feels like it was hit by a bus and there is someone snoring in the corner of the room. I look around and see William, the beeping of the machine gets faster as my heart begins to race alerting the nurses at the station. A few seconds later a nurse comes in. “Glad to see you awake Spencer, you have given us quite the scare.” She said as she checks the machine and the wires attached to me. “How long have I been out for?” I ask hoarsely, my throat burning as I speak. “Two days, your injuries were worse than we originally thought when we found you in the forest.” She says giving me a sympathetic look. William POV The look in Spencer’s eyes when she woke up broke something in me. She was scared of me now, I didn’t think Mars would do feral like he did. She didn’t object to the nurse telling me to leave, Olive was right I really messed up this time. After I left the hospital, I went straight back to the house. Despite just wanting to be alone I needed to let everyone know that she woke up, mother and Olive stayed with me in her room for a few hours but retired to the house to get some rest. When the doctor came out and told me about her broken back and the extend to the injury to her leg, my own legs gave way under me.
