All Chapters of Married To A Billionaire Nightmare : Chapter 21 - Chapter 30

LORETTAI woke up feeling rested.Which was, at the very least, surprising. There was no sleep paralysis, no nightmare. No frantic jolt awake with my heart trying to burst its way out of my chest.I actually felt good waking up, There was a strange sense of calm that enveloped me as I sat up slowly and stretched my arms over my headA yawn slipped out of me alongside a small smile My curtains were still closed, but a warm ray of sunlight found its way into my room, making the atmosphere warmer. I glanced around, trying to pinpoint what had changedMe or the room?Everything looked exactly the same... but there was something foreign, the faint scent of musk and man clung to my nightie and my skinThe heady scent lingered in the air.“Elion,” I gasped, nearly jumping out of the bed in fright. My pulse thumped hard against my skin as memories of last night came rushing back one at a time. The nightmare I was drowning in...the fire alarm that woke me up, .running into Elion in the hallwa

ELION My hand was around her throat. Her delicate, fragile throat. All it would take was one flick of my wrist and I would never have to endure her presence ever again But then, I would never see her ethereal eyes come alive with hate and rage, Loretta would be gone for Good. There would be no one else who challenges me, no one who makes me drown in this violent whirlwind of emotions when all I've ever known for years is coldness and control Loretta smiled despite my hand about to crush her windpipe “Go...go.. ahead Elion." She smiled sweetly, “Don't stop now, get rid of my infuriating presence for good” I swear she has a death wish “For once" I hissed, every muscle in my body pulled taut as wire, “Stop challenging me.” My fingers flexed around her throat, I didn't know if to pull her into my body or snap her neck and be done with it God, she was not supposed to be like this. She wasn't supposed to make me lose control the way I am now The Loretta I knew was a doci

LORETTAIt seems like months since the visit to The Velloria, but in reality, it has only been twelve daysThat's four days of Elion and I avoiding each other. Although we shared the same floor, that didn't mean we ran into each other during work days, or at allWe have practically turned into strangers. I have grown too uneasy with the tense silence that hung in the air whenever he drove us to work, so I insisted on getting a driver who would take me instead He had frowned deeply when I asked Joseph if he knew anyone, for one moment, I did think Elion would object, but he just grunted and leftWe haven't had a shared meal together either. I usually have breakfast in the morning and during Dinner, he would either lock himself in his home study or stay back at his office for ‘Important things’I shouldn't care. I mean I don't care. This was better than having him constantly push my buttons and piss me off to the world's end, but why then do I feel more... unhappy than before Why do I

LORETTA By the time I got home, the knot that had been sitting in my chest since Elion's office had loosened a smidge It wasn't fully gone, but it was somewhat manageable, besides I had other things to worry about tonight, namely: I was hosting my friendsMy best friends and only friends. The people who were there during the good years, the time before my mother's death and Abel's... sickness. Back when we used to have sleepovers and paint our toenails sparkly pink.My smile wobbled, I've missed them so much. It's been a year and three months since the four of us were together in the same room, God knows I'm counting down the seconds till they arriveAfter changing into something comfortable and tying my hair in a ponytail, I made my way to the kitchen, the delicious aroma of chicken and spices made my mouth water even before stepping into the kitchen “Mrs Park's” I say with a big smile breaking across my face. She looked up from the counter where she was kneading dough “Welcome ho

LORETTAThe question landed like a missile, everyone went silent. Holly's eyes flickered between Zara and me. Michelle gave me that no-nonsense look that meant she was serious and Zara, I couldn't even bring myself to look at her, she'd see right through me“I..." My mouth opened and closed shut like a fish out of waterUh, I wish I didn't have to do this alone. Where is the Devil when you need him?I drew in a deep breath for the show of it, my mind movingfast underneath the surface, because there were two problems sitting simultaneously in my chest right now and I needed to solve both of them ASAP as in right nowThe first: I could not tell them the truth, at least not the whole of it. A shiver ran down my spine and the thought of putting my friends off Elion's radar. No, the fewer people who knew the better even if it would cost meAnd that's not the whole scope, my friends are very loyal and entirely capable of doing something protective if they found out how I got to be here,
