Chapter 131Kael's POVThe formal summons from the High Council of Elders burned like a brand in my mind:Summon from the Elders of the Council to Alpha Kael of the Blackridge Pack:The Council of Elders has convened an emergency session regarding the explosive allegations published this morning. You are required to appear before the council to defend yourself against the accusation of engaging in an illicit sexual relationship with your daughter/stepdaughter and impregnating her. You have twelve hours to present yourself. If you fail to appear‚ your candidacy for the Alpha King seat will be permanently dissolved and forfeited.Twelve hours. The High Council. The political campaign. The throne.Or Aria.I was still standing in the middle of Aria's stripped‚ empty dorm room‚ her handwritten note crumpled tight in my right fist while the official DNA test results sat in my jacket pocket‚ a zero percent genetic match‚ the irrefutable proof that would clear my name and destroy every lie u

Chapter 132Kael's POVA harsh‚ cold laugh tore from my throat‚ deep disbelief and utter disgust filling my heart for the pathetic woman standing before me."So Aria is no longer my daughter now‚ huh?" I nodded slowly‚ my pitch-black eyes burning into hers. "Last night you screamed right in her face that she was fucking her own father! You called her an incestuous whore‚ telling her that the baby in her womb was a sick abomination! And now‚ suddenly this morning‚ she's Ronan's daughter again! You just switch up your twisted lies whenever it suits you‚ without giving a single fuck about the weight of what you're saying!""I said those horrible things because I was fucking ANGRY!" Diane shrieked‚ her face contorting in ugly‚ hysterical tears. "I was furious and I felt completely betrayed! By you! By her! By every single person in my life!""And Aria paid the price for your fucking rage!" I spat‚ stepping right into her space. "She's gone‚ Diane! She packed her bag and ran away into the

Chapter 133Aria's POVMy eyes opened to complete darkness.I blinked and tried to move‚ but my body refused to obey.My wrists were cuffed behind my back‚ the cold metal digging into my skin every time I twitched. My ankles were tied with heavy rope to the legs of a wooden chair‚ and the chair itself was anchored to a concrete pillar behind me. A thick piece of cloth was tied tight across my mouth‚ forcing every breath into a shallow‚ desperate gasp through my nose.I was high up‚ extremely high up.The cold night air whipped across my face and tore at my hair. There were no walls around me‚ just open space on every side‚ concrete pillars holding up a roof above my head‚ and beyond the edge of the platform‚ nothing. Just a forty-story drop into blackness. It was an unfinished skyscraper. A skeleton of a building with no glass‚ no walls‚ and no railings. There was only concrete‚ exposed steel‚ and a pale moon hanging in the night sky‚ casting a cold silver light over the floor. My bab

Chapter 134Aria’s POV Ronan ceased his pacing completely. He turned around‚ towering over my chair‚ a wide‚ sinister‚ utterly monstrous grin spreading across his face until it reached his eyes. The sheer malice radiating off him made my skin crawl with violent revulsion."So Diane didn't have the guts to give you the full truth‚ did she?" He let out a low‚ dark chuckle that vibrated through the quiet night air. "I suppose she was still desperately trying to play the protective mother‚ hiding the dirtiest secret of her past from her precious little girl."He slowly crouched back down‚ taking his time‚ until his cold face was barely two inches from mine. His breath hit my skin like a freezing breeze."Kael isn't your biological father‚ Aria‚" he whispered‚ each word dropping like a heavy iron anvil onto my chest. "I am. We are bound by blood. Directly related. I am your true biological father."The world completely shattered around me.The horror‚ the relief‚ and the sheer disgust sla

Chapter 135Aria’s POV "Shut her up‚" Ronan snapped to the guards behind me.A gloved hand clamped over my mouth from behind. I thrashed violently‚ biting down hard on the leather fingers until the guard let out a grunt‚ pulling back for a second before another guard grabbed my hair and forced my head back‚ pressing a hand over my mouth even harder.Ronan walked right up to the edge of the platform‚ the forty-story drop yawning behind his heels. He spread his arms wide toward the night sky."Welcome‚ Kael!" his voice echoed down the concrete structure. "So glad you could make it to the party!""WHERE IS SHE‚ RONAN??!" Kael's voice roared up from the base of the tower. Even from forty stories up‚ even filtered through the howling wind‚ the sheer fury in his tone made my whole body vibrate. "WHERE IS MY ARIA? BRING HER WHERE I CAN SEE HER RIGHT NOW!"Ronan snapped his fingers‚ and two masked men stepped forward‚ untying the wooden chair from the pillar and dragging it‚ along with my bo

Chapter 136Kael's POVMate. The word exploded through my chest like a bomb.My wolf‚ the beast I had spent years training‚ controlling‚ and caging‚ ripped free of every restraint and surged to the surface with a roar so primal that it shook the marrow in my bones.MATE. MATE. MATE.Aria. My Aria. My sweetpie. The mother of my unborn child. My fated mate. The Moon Goddess had not just confirmed what I already knew in my heart. She had branded it directly into the stars.I could feel her forty stories up. I felt her wolf awakening for the first time‚ massive and silver‚ while the golden bond between us burned like an iron chain forged in fire. I could feel her fear‚ her explosive power‚ and her fierce love. And I could feel Ronan's filthy hands still on her.I hit the tower entrance like a battering ram. The heavy steel door crumpled under my shoulder and flew off its hinges. The concrete stairwell was dark and endless‚ but I took the steps five at a time. My legs ate up the distance w

Chapter 137Kael's POVHer wolf erupted from her human form like a bomb. Silver‚blinding‚ pure‚ magnificent silver‚ twice the size of any female wolf I had ever seen. Her fur rippled with golden aura from the mate bond‚ her eyes burned pitch black‚ and her bared fangs glinted in the moonlight.Ronan flew backward from the force of her shift‚ launching ten feet across the platform before hitting the concrete and rolling‚ gasping for air as he scrambled onto his hands and knees.Every person on that platform‚ every remaining guard and Ronan himself‚ stared at the massive silver wolf with their mouths hanging open in shock. My wolf roared inside my chest with pride so fierce it nearly brought me to my knees. That was my mate‚ my fated mate‚ silver-furred‚ devastating‚ and far more powerful than anything Ronan could have anticipated.Aria's wolf turned her dark gaze onto Ronan. She stalked toward him‚ her massive paws cracking the concrete floor with every single step‚ a deep growl vibrat

Chapter 138Kael's POVI stopped‚ holding him suspended over the drop‚ waiting."I did what I had to do!" he spat out‚ tears‚ snot‚ and sweat streaming down his pale face. "Your father never deserved that throne! It was supposed to belong to MY father! But your dad somehow took what was never meant to be his!""What did you do about it‚ Ronan?" I growled out."YOU KNOW WHAT I FUCKING DID‚ KAEL! STOP ACTING LIKE YOU DON'T KNOW!"I smirked‚ decades of grief‚ anger‚ and Alpha power compressing into a single deadly expression. "I know. But I'll feel so much better hearing you say it out loud in front of the entire territory.""What did you do‚ Ronan?!" I demanded.Silence fell over the platform‚ the cold wind howling while the crowd below held its collective breath."WHAT THE FUCK DID YOU DO?!" I roared into his face."FINE!" Ronan screamed‚ his voice cracking into something utterly raw‚ broken‚ and pathetic. "I KILLED HIM! I eliminated your father! The late Alpha King Charles! I had him

Chapter 139Aria's POVThe words hit me like a physical blow.Eliminated…No. No‚ no‚ no. This couldn't be happening. Kael had done everything right. He had found me‚ saved me‚ and exposed Ronan for the ruthless murderer he was. And now they were taking his lifelong dream away because of me‚ because of what we did‚ because of what I started."NO!" I stepped forward to the very edge of the platform‚ my voice tearing through the freezing wind. "PLEASE! YOU CAN'T DO THIS!"Kael reached out‚ his heavy hand clamping on my arm. "Aria‚ stop—"I shook him off completely and dropped straight to my knees at the concrete lip‚ looking down at the eight figures standing forty stories below in the floodlights."HE DIDN'T DO ANYTHING WRONG!" My voice cracked and broke apart in the freezing night air. "KAEL NEVER WANTED THIS! I WAS THE ONE WHO STARTED IT! HE TRIED TO STOP IT—HE TRIED MULTIPLE TIMES—BUT I WOULDN'T LET HIM! I PURSUED HIM! I SEDUCED HIM! I WAS THE ONE WHO WANTED HIS COCK IN ME‚ AND HE N

Chapter 140Aria's POVFinally‚ Mathias stepped back from the circle and raised his voice to deliver the verdict."All those in disagreement‚ raise your hand.”My heart stopped beating entirely‚ and the air trapped in my lungs. One hand went up immediately—a Blackridge Elder. Then another—Silvercrest.A third—Ashworth.A fourth—the second Blackridge Elder.A fifth—the second Silvercrest Elder.A sixth—a Greyton Elder.Six hands went up into the air out of eight. My knees instantly buckled beneath me‚ and the ground rushed up toward my face. I collapsed straight into Kael's chest‚ my vision going black at the edges as my heart slammed against my ribs so hard I thought it would burst.Six. Six out of eight."No‚" I whispered‚ my tear-stained face pressed flat against Kael's chest. "No... that means they voted against him... six against—""Aria‚" Kael's hand cupped the back of my head‚ his voice coming out tight and strangely strained. "Aria‚ listen to what he's saying."Elder Mathias's
