Chapter 141Aria's POVHe fell…But his wolf saved his life. Halfway down‚ Kael shifted into his massive black wolf‚ whose body absorbed most of the impact when he crashed onto the ground below. He survived the fall‚ but he was badly hurt and had several broken ribs. They rushed him to the pack hospital while Ronan was dragged off the tower in heavy‚ silver-reinforced cuffs. Diane followed the Council motorcade to plead frantically on Ronan's behalf‚ but I rode in the backseat of the medical transport with Kael's head resting in my lap‚ my hands pressed over his chest‚ feeling his steady heartbeat beneath my palms. He was unconscious for fourteen hours.I didn't move from the bedside chair once. The mate bond hummed constantly between our souls‚ and I held onto it like a lifeline in the dark.At 2:17 PM the following afternoon‚ his eyes finally fluttered open.Dark‚ pitch-black‚ and heavy with exhaustion‚ my mate's eyes.He blinked slowly‚ the harsh fluorescent lights of the room mak

Chapter 142Aria’s POV "I need you too‚" I ran my fingers through his dark hair. "But we're in a hospital‚ Kael. You have broken ribs‚ and—""I don't give a fuck.""The nurses could walk in at any second—"His mouth found the tender spot right below my ear and sucked hard‚ making my spine arch as a soft gasp slipped past my lips before I could stop it."Kael‚ stop... we can't do this here—""Do you know‚" he murmured between slow‚ open-mouthed kisses along my collarbone‚ "that there is an ancient belief among our kind that being inside your fated mate after sustaining injuries drastically accelerates healing?""That sounds like something you made up just now.""It's a well-documented wolf belief‚" his teeth grazed my sensitive skin while his hand slid down my spine. "Backed by centuries of evidence.""Anecdotal—""If you love me‚" he breathed against the hollow of my throat‚ his lips featherlight while his voice dropped into that low‚ devastating register that made my thighs clench i

Chapter 143Aria's POVWe stayed tangled together for a long‚ breathless moment‚ catching our breath while his forehead rested against my collarbone. But then he shifted beneath me‚ twisting his upper body from side to side before suddenly freezing.“What?” I pulled back instantly‚ my heart jumping with alarm. “What’s wrong? Kael‚ did you hurt yourself? Are your ribs—”“No.” He blinked‚ his brows furrowing as he slowly moved again. “I feel… better.”“What do you mean‚ better?” I asked‚ staring at him.He placed his hand over his ribcage‚ pressing gently against the spot where his three broken ribs had been. He pressed harder‚ then took a deep breath‚ waiting for the pain to hit.But nothing happened. He took another deep breath‚ filling his lungs completely before letting it out. Then he looked at me‚ a slow grin spreading across his face.“What the fuck‚” I breathed‚ my eyes widening in disbelief. He pressed his hand firmly against his ribs again‚ but there was still no pain or disco

Chapter 144Aria's POV"Daddy... oh fuck... eat me‚ daddy... please don't stop..."He went completely feral‚ his tongue working my clit with merciless speed while his fingers pumped in and out of my tight‚ soaking wet pussy‚ fast‚ deep‚ and curling on every single stroke to hit my G-spot. The wet‚ obscene sounds of his mouth devouring me filled the quiet hospital room‚ and I couldn't do anything but grind my hips desperately against his face‚ pulling him closer."Yes‚ yes‚ yes... daddy... right there... fuck‚ fuck‚ FUCK... eat my pussy... don't stop... please‚ daddy‚ don't fucking stop..."He sucked my clit so hard my vision went blurry‚ his fingers hammering inside me while my thighs clamped tightly around his head. The orgasm crashed through me like a violent tidal wave‚ my hips bucking wild off the mattress‚ my back arching so high only my shoulders touched the bed‚ as a scream tore from my throat that I couldn't muffle. He licked me through every single wave‚ his tongue eventually

Chapter 145Aria's POVThe drive home was quiet.Kael held my hand across the center console the entire way‚ his thumb tracing lazy circles on my knuckles. The driver parked the SUV near the front steps‚ and Kael came around to my side to open the door and help me down. His hand found the small of my back‚ guiding me gently as we walked toward the entrance. We were only a few steps from the front door when it swung wide open.Mom stepped out.She looked like she hadn't slept in days‚ her unwashed hair pulled back into a limp knot and her clothes wrinkled. She wore no makeup‚ and the dark circles carved beneath her eyes were so deep they looked like dark bruises. She stood rigidly in the doorway‚ blocking the entrance with her arms at her sides‚ her red-rimmed eyes locked onto me with a burning‚ unblinking intensity.Neither of us expected what came next.Crossing the distance in two quick strides‚ she pulled her arm back and slapped me straight across the face. The sharp crack echoed

Chapter 146Aria's POV"Me or him?""Mom…" My voice cracked on that single word as hot tears spilled over‚ streaming heavily down my cheeks. "You did everything for me‚ and I know that. I will never forget what you sacrificed for me—never. You gave me your whole life‚ and I will carry that with me until the day I die."Mom’s chin lifted higher‚ her face hardening as her eyes turned completely cold."But I… I choose Kael‚ Mom."The words broke as they came out of my throat. She stared at me in complete silence. Five full seconds passed where neither of us moved or breathed. Then‚ her entire face changed. The desperation vanished‚ her tears dried up instantly‚ and a cold‚ deadly mask settled over her features‚ hiding whatever was left of my mother underneath."Then you are no child of mine‚" she said‚ her voice completely flat.A smile crept onto her lips‚ not a warm smile at all‚ but a cruel smirk that made my skin crawl."This is the end‚ Aria. I'll send someone to collect my things l

Chapter 147Aria's POV"Now ride me."I began to move‚ setting a deep‚ rolling rhythm that dragged his cock right against my front wall. His jaw clenched hard and his fingers dug into my hips as he tried to hold on."Faster."I gave him faster‚ lifting and dropping myself until the wet‚ loud sound of us filling the room was all I could hear. His cock hit deep on every single downstroke. He started driving up from below to meet me‚ snapping his hips with a hard‚ powerful force that turned the rhythm wild. Skin slapped against skin."Harder— Kael—"Without breaking the rhythm‚ he grabbed my thighs‚ stood up with his cock still buried inside me‚ and laid me down on the large floor cushion beside the sofa. My back hit the soft fabric‚ and he immediately hooked my legs over his forearms and drove back in."OH FUCKKKKKK—"The angle was devastating. His hips snapped forward so hard the cushion slid across the hardwood floor. Again and again‚ he slammed into me without mercy."This is where y

Chapter 148Aria's POVA full week passed after that night.Life slowly settled into a quiet routine that almost felt normal‚ if you didn't look too closely.Kael and I lived inside a bubble where the mansion was our entire world. We ate together‚ slept in each other's arms‚ studied side by side‚ and fucked like absolute savages‚ driven by an instinct so raw it terrified me.And God‚ the sex was filthy. The mate bond was driving us completely insane‚ turning every single sensation up to a dangerous level. A single touch felt like an electric shock; every kiss tasted like a drug I couldn't get enough of. We couldn't keep our hands‚ or our mouths‚ off each other. Kael was insatiable‚ and the bond had me craving him just as fiercely. If it was already this intense before he marked me‚ I couldn't imagine what would happen when he finally does.We fucked everywhere‚ barely able to make it to a bed before he had me spread open. In his master bedroom‚ he’d throw me back against the mattress

CHAPTER 149Aria's POVShe answered on the very first ring."ARIA?!" Her voice blasted through the speaker so loud I had to pull the phone away from my ear. "ARIA IS THAT YOU?! OH MY GOD! OH MY GOD!"I opened my mouth to speak‚ but she didn't give me a chance at all."Don't say anything yet! Don't say a single word! Because—oh my God‚ Aria—you're not going to believe this‚ but Jace and I are literally standing at the gate of your mansion RIGHT NOW! We were just talking about coming up to see if you'd let us in‚ and then you CALLED! This is such a crazy coincidence! We're RIGHT HERE!"I blinked‚ looking down at myself in panic. I was wearing one of Kael's oversized t-shirts‚ no bra underneath‚ my nipples still hard and tender from Kael sucking on them earlier. My hair was a messy nest‚ and I hadn't taken a shower since our morning sex session before Kael left. I definitely smelled like sweat‚ raw desire‚ and Kael's thick scent from when he had pinned me to the bathroom floor hours ago.

Chapter 150Kael’s POV"Jace‚ step outside with me for a second.""Of course‚ Alpha."The garden was quiet‚ filled only with the low‚ persistent hum of crickets and the distant sound of the estate's water feature trickling softly somewhere behind the dense hedge wall.I kept walking until we were far enough from the floor-to-ceiling glass doors that the girls couldn't possibly overhear us. Only then did I stop and turn around.Jace stood a few feet away with his hands loose at his sides‚ his spine straight‚ and his eyes completely steady. He wasn't nervous‚ I had to give him that much. Most wolves half my age couldn't hold eye contact with me for more than two seconds without fidgeting‚ yet this kid hadn't looked away once.I studied him in silence for a long moment before I finally spoke. "Thank you."Jace blinked‚ clearly caught off guard‚ as whatever scenario he had been bracing for instantly vanished."The notes‚" I continued‚ easing into the explanation. "You didn't have to do th
