Chapter 2 — What is Alpha Lucien doing here?

Lara's POVI didn't waste a single second after that call.I threw on the first decent outfit I could find, grabbed my bag, and was out the door before the thought of breakfast even crossed my mind. Lara's POVGetting to the restroom, I ended up not throwing up as much as I had expected.Just the one wave, sharp and quick, and that was it. I stood over the basin for a moment longer anyway, gripping the edge of the sink with both hands and breathing slowly through my nose until I was certain it was done. Lara's POVI kept turning restlessly on the bed for what felt like a very longgggg time of sleep.The pain was gone….That was the first thing my mind registered as it slowly came back to itself — that thick, heavy ache that had been sitting across every part of my body had lifted.
