Aaron stayed against her back until their breathing slowed. When he finally pulled out of her, Natasha made a quiet sound and her fingers tightened on the edge of the table. He felt what he had left inside her slip down her thigh and caught it with his palm, not because it was messy, but because he was not ready to stop touching her. “I’ve got you,” he said against her shoulder. He lifted her off the counter and carried her into the sitting room. Natasha’s arms stayed around his neck. She was bare now, the shirt left behind in the kitchen, and the cool air of the penthouse moved over skin that was still flushed from him. Aaron sat down on the long sofa first and brought her with him, stretching out on his back so she could lie along his side, one of her legs thrown over his, her cheek on his chest.
