"Can I speak with you as your friend? Not as your secretary?"Andrew halted what he was doing to look at Sally with a bored expression on her face."You only thought about asking permission now?"Sally shrugged. "So, may I?"Andrew sighed deeply. "Go on. Tell me what kind of nosy thoughts you are having again this time.""Most CEOs don't relocate themselves for a project."Andrew groaned. So that's what she had been itching to tell him this morning. He should have known.Andrew put on a straight face while leaning his back on the backrest of his swivel chair. "Most redevelopment projects don't require this much negotiation," he said. But then Sally quickly retorted, "Or maybe most projects don't involve a certain bookstore owner."Andrew glared at her.But Sally, being brave that she was, just raised her brows."I'm right, aren't I?""No, you're not," Andrew responded, then went back to reviewing construction plans that were handed to him."Oh, come on. I'm not—""You should not be tal

"I don't think this is a good decision," Sally said while roaming her gaze across the room that Andrew had chosen to be his office."Yup. This is the sixth time you've said it. Trust me, I have already memorized those eight words," Andrew replied while sitting on his newly bought office chair and was not even bothering to look at his assistant. His gaze remained on his phone, staring at Raffy's phone number.Sally centered her gaze on the alpha that she had stopped considering her boss at the moment but as her friend. "Good. Then that means I have successfully sent the message of my dislike. So, what are you going to do about it?""About your dislike of my decision?""Yes. Are you going to listen to me? Or will you continue being stubborn?""Neither. I am simply doing what I believe is good for the business.""Is that why you can't take your eyes away from Raffy's phone number and are debating whether you should call him or not? Is that why you specifically chose to buy the building n

The light filtering through the curtains woke Andrew up from his sleep.A groan immediately escaped his lips the moment he opened his eyes."Fuck..."His head pounded mercilessly; it felt like it was going to split into two.He slowly pushed himself upright and pressed the heel of his palm against his forehead, hoping the throbbing would lessen. It didn't.This was what he got after drinking so much last night. He clicked his tongue. He should have listened to Sally. He should have limited his drinks. And more importantly, he should not have allowed himself to dwell on Raffy. But how could he not?The anger, as well as the disappointment in Raffy's face, was too much; it made his fucking heartache. He hated it. He hated that he failed him.Raffy must have been thinking of him as a liar now. Raffy had already thought that he had not changed after all, that he was still the asshole that he knew from ten years ago, and what happened last night just made it even worse.A soft chuckle pull

It was eight in the evening when heavy rain began to lash against the glass window of Andrew's office.Andrew leaned back in his swivel chair, tossing the folder that was filled with financial reports onto his desk.He should have been done reviewing the financial reports a couple of hours ago, but his mind wasn't on the numbers.'Have you tried questioning yourself about how you really feel about me? Because the way I see it, it seems like you are already on the borderline of being obsessed with me... again.'Raffy's words were replayed inside his head for what felt like a hundredth time.He hated that they bothered him.More than that, he hated that they weren't entirely wrong. He had bought the building beside Raffy's bookstore. He had relocated his office to Maplewood. He kept finding reasons to see Raffy.Obsession?Andrew refused to call it that.He was simply...Andrew sighed roughly. In the end, he still couldn't find the right word to call whatever he was doing.A flash of li

One hour. That was how long Andrew had been staring at Raffy, who was still deeply asleep. It had been more than twenty minutes since Andrew woke up. And from the moment Andrew opened his eyes and saw Raffy beside him, Andrew never took his eyes off him.Memories of what happened between them played inside Andrew's head like a broken record. All the words they had said to each other, all the moaning and the screaming, the caressing, and every single movement Andrew had made; he remembered it all. From Raffy's face, Andrew's eyes went down to Raffy's neck and to his chest. Although half of Raffy's naked body was covered with the sheet, Andrew knew it was in the same state as the beta's upper body. It was filled with bite and suction marks.Andrew swore he felt guilty. But at the same time, the fucked-up side of his head was turned on by how many marks he had left on Raffy's body, and proud of how many times he had made Raffy cum.Andrew finally took his gaze off Raffy and softly cursed
