ELARA His fingers slammed against my cheek. “How dare you say that!? Every pack attends the banquet, you can't skip it either.” Father's eyes glowed feral. “For once, do something good for the Sylvester name. Don't be a useless daughter.” My cheek was still burning…But I held back my tears with every ounce of my strength. In three weeks, I would turn twenty. But it wasn't a blessing. It was a death sentence….Because I was born wolfless, and my family or the pack didn't know. A wolfless was considered a bad omen, a destruction. Either the wolfless were killed or torn into pieces. For years, I've been hiding the secret, living like a shadow in my own house. "Do not disappoint me, Elara. Trust me, I'll forget you're my blood." Silas Sylvester, my father, and the Alpha King, ruled over five packs in Malvern Hills, a place surrounded by trees, mountains, followed strict laws, and worshiped true mates. MoonCedar, our pack, was located in the center. The other four packs were our

ELARAI grasped, my eyes widened. “Are you crazy!?”Chloe signed. “Think...With a rogue, you'll always be on the edge that he might expose the truth to your father. But this man wouldn't even know we're lying. He'll believe your lies.”“So…I should make him my fake mate?”Chloe shook her head aggressively.“What if his memories return and he already has a true mate?”“Elara, we'll think about that later.” She gripped my shoulders tightly. “Let's focus on saving your neck first.”Before our first conversation, Chloe whispered to me…”Just act like you are his true mate.”"I don't know if I can do this…" I mumbled to Chloe, anxious and panicking."You have to do this," she said. "It is either him or death, Elara."“Right. You're right.”Just when I revealed myself, our eyes instantly locked. For a moment, I froze, my gaze refused to look away from his gorgeous face. He was perfect. Extremely gorgeous.Dark hair and Icy blue eyes, a lethal combination, yet beautiful. The walls were dim,

ELARA Father moved closer, stirring a panic within me. "Where have you been, Elara?" His voice was strong and authoritative. I've always been scared of our interactions. He liked being the Alpha King more than my father. Though my knees were weak, I tried to keep my head up. "I was at Chloe's apartment." "Why would you go to her apartment this time?" My father stepped into the dim light, his eyes were threatening mine to speak truth only. "You are the daughter of the Alpha King. On the day of your birthday, you should be here getting ready for the bond. Instead, you are walking around like a person with no responsibility." “I can't blame you. Your mother died at the time of your birth. If she were alive, you wouldn't be so reckless with your actions.” His words were always harsh, slicking through my heart like a sharp dagger. "I-I am sorry Father. I did not think -" "That is your problem," he said, walking towards me. "You never think. You do things because of how you feel. Y

ELARAThe silence in the hall was deafening. The only sound was the thud of Calix’s boots against the marble floor as he walked straight toward me. The crowd of wolves parted for him instinctively, drawn by an invisible, powerful gravity they clearly couldn't understand. Whispers started around us.“Who is he? He has such an intimidating aura.”“He's so handsome. That face is lethal.”“Where is he from? Is he an Alpha?”“Someone with such a strong presence must be a powerful Alpha.”“He doesn't have a scent on him.”I stood frozen, my heart bouncing against my chest, but for a completely different reason now. He had actually come.Calix stopped right in front of me, ignoring the glare of my father and the sharp, suspicious eyes of the elders. Up close, his towering height made me look incredibly small, yet his presence felt like a powerful shield protecting me from the crowd.“Forgive me for being late,” Calix said. His deep, smooth voice echoed beautifully through the quiet room, ca

ELARAThe sound of clinking silverware and loud laughter echoed from the grand dining room downstairs. Down there, my father, my siblings, and their high-ranking mates were eating a lavish breakfast together, looking like the perfect royal family.I didn't dare go near them. Instead, I carried a wooden tray piled with fresh fruit, eggs, and toast up to the third floor. I walked past my own bedroom and stopped at the guestroom, balancing the tray on one arm to knock softly before pushing the door open.Calix was already awake, sitting on the edge of the bed. He was shirtless, wearing only a pair of black sweatpants. The morning light streamed through the glass window, highlighting the sharp, defined muscles of his chest and abdomen. *Goddess… He's hot.*A breath slipped free of my lips. *Hold your thoughts, Elara.*He looked up, his piercing blue eyes instantly locking onto me. "Why are you bringing food up here?" He asked, his voice rough and deep with sleep. "Why aren't you eating d
