The following morning was supposed to be Quentin’s first proper day back at work. By eight o’clock, he was already dressed in a dark charcoal suit with a perfectly pressed white shirt and a neatly secured tie. After several days of loose clothes, doctor’s instructions, and Verity confiscating anything that looked remotely related to work, he finally looked like himself again.
