Traci’s POV I woke up feeling surprisingly warm. For a moment, I remained perfectly still, enjoying the softness of the bed beneath me and the comfort of the blankets wrapped around my body. Everything still ached from yesterday, but not nearly as badly as I expected. The dizziness was mostly gone, my throat no longer felt like I’d swallowed broken glass, and the pounding headache that had followed the powder attack had finally eased into a dull ache. The mate bond was definitely doing its job. When I finally opened my eyes, the reason for the warmth became immediately obvious. Zayden had somehow fallen asleep with his head resting across my stomach while Raiden’s head was draped over my legs, both kings still sitting in the chairs they’d dragged beside the bed. A laugh threatened to escape. Apparently their solution to keeping an eye on me had been turning me into a human pillow. “Damn stalkers,” Aurora chuckled. Most women would find this romantic.
