Lilith's POVThe food was surprisingly good. For a meal cooked in the middle nowhere with the few resources that were available, Kieran really surprised me with his cooking.The meal was eaten in silence between the two of us. Lilith's POVMy blood froze in my veins as I stared at the beast standing by the hallway.Kieran wasn't just angry, he was furious. Enraged sounds like the better term for what he looked like he was experiencing, but it was still not enough.His nostrils were already flaring, and the veins at the temples of his head were visible, pulsating so much that they threatened to rupture at the smallest inconvenience.And I was the inconvenience.The man was staring a hole right through me, and I was too scared to move.The notebook that was in my hands, trembled as I tried to steady my breathing.But it was all in vain.My body was already betraying me.As I looked into his eyes, one thought kept crossing my mind over and over again.'I should have listened to Dione.'If only I had done that, I wouldn't have found myself in that situation.The best that I could do was at least try and talk my way out of it.

Lilith's POVFor a split second, everything was frozen and silence took over.All that I could hear was the heartbeat of Kieran, together with his breathing.I had closed my eyes, and waited for the worst to happen, but nothing did.For what seemed to be hours, I held up that journal in the air, with the threat that I made still lingering in the air.Deep down, I feared that I had just sealed my fate by finding the journal, and the nail on the coffin was threatening to destroy it.So, as I awaited for Keiran to destroy me, I held my breath and begged for intervention from the moon goddess.There was absolutely nothing more that I could do to get out of that situation.The thought of even trying to go toe to toe with the Exiled Alpha, was a fever dream.There was absolutely no chance in hell that I could even survive a second against him.One swipe of his paw was enough to kill me, and I was even contemplating whet

Dione Awakens

Lilith's POVKieran was boiling up, and with every passing second, he looked like he was growing a foot taller.He was about to charge at me at any moment, and I could tell that he was not going to hold back.Using the journal as my shield was a big mistake, and it made him even more committed to send a message."You think you can threaten me with that?" He roared, taking another step forward."I have gone toe to toe with Alphas who tried to threaten me with the lives of my pack members! And you think that using the journal as your bargaining chip will make me do what? Fall to my knees and beg you not to do it?"With that, he took another step, making me regret even touching the carpet in the first place.I was wishing that I could have stopped myself earlier or listened to Dione.Since she didn't want to be part of my snooping around,she had retreated to the back of mind, so far back that I couldn't even reach her for help.

On The Verge Of Death

Lilith's POVAt first, I thought that she had talked to me.But that wasn't it.I could tell that she wasn't addressing me. And if she wasn't, who was she talking to then?I asked myself that question, and it easily answered when I noticed that Kieran stopped crushing me, and looked perplexed.His eyes were wide with surprise, and he was visibly confused.I guess the fact that I also looked confused must've thrown him off because I saw that for a moment,he was expecting to see something in my eyes.'What the hell is happening?' I asked myself, looking at Kieran and asking Dione the same question.I knew for sure that I hadn't opened my mouth, so there was no way that I said that out loud.And on top of that, the statement was made by Dione, and it even sounded like it was her voice.It was just the same way that she and I used to communicate, but Kieran had heard it.No.She had made Kieran hear it.

Lilith's POVI felt it, as it came from deep inside my body, travelling through every fiber of my being, and going upwards.Like I swarm of bees, I felt it coming from the tip of my toes, going through my hamstring, right behind my knees, through my thighs and meet up from both legs at the hip and converge at my spine.From the top, I felt it coming from my hair, down to my skull, and travel down my spine.Both of these felt like electric currents, and they pulsated as they moved, making me feel where they were and how they moved.Both currents from the top and bottom met and merged right around my shoulder blades, before I felt it moving now as one from my back, travelling through my ribs and to my chest.By this time, things were moving in slow motion, and I could feel and hear my heartbeat, one beat at a time.When the electric impulse reached my sternum, I felt it seep into my heart, beating with it.I was as if with every
