Beyond the canvas walls, restless wolves paced the defensive perimeter, low growls rolling through the freezing dawn while sentries stood with weapons drawn, waiting for an attack that felt inevitable. A solitary, low-burning moonstone sat at the center of the strategic war map, its pale blue light casting skeletal shadows across the faces of my remaining commanders.
