Semua Bab Done With My Ex, Moving To The Next : Bab 21 - Bab 30

D’Ace Resurfaces ~RHYS~ One thing I would never do was allow a scumbag like Louis move an inch around Blaze. God forbid. Before now, I'd warned him several times…even met him one on one. Just to make myself clear. Stay the fuck away from her. But not surprisingly, he was only perfect at two things: Crossing boundaries and disobeying orders. I was going to spare him. I swear it. But the moment his lips grazed her cheeks when he claimed he was bidding goodbye, I lost the reins. I had to teach him a little lesson so he'd remember that I, Rhys Adrian, was way out of his league. I made sure I gave him just one injury—just ONE little injury to remind him to never cross me. He'd remember me every time he tried to run. All it'd cost me was a simple phone call to Ken, an old friend who was playing at the NFL in The States, and they had a match against each other. My phone vibrated against the surface it lay on. I looked down at my screen, grabbing it before it rang again. “Hey, Ha

Dylan Or Rhys? ~STELLA~ I hated Dylan. I scribbled his name down on my draft paper and I didn't even hold back from carving a line across it while the imagination faintly crossed my mind. I didn't care if I damaged the fabric beneath it. I grabbed my phone and texted him. I knew it was the last thing to have done but no matter how hard I thought, it was the only option I had left—face the attacker. “Meet me there by seven.” I hit the ‘Send’ button on my phone, letting out a sharp breath as I headed outside the academy. I couldn't panic. He texted back, agreeing to be there, even though he was curious as to why. Rhys was here to pick me up at the academy and for a minute, my chest tightened. “Rhys," I said his name awkwardly, settling in the car. “You shouldn't have come, Rhys. I'm sure you—" “Shh,” he husked, pinning his index against his lips. “You know I wouldn't let someone else take you home. I'd do it all by myself.” He smiled. God. My mind couldn't stray away from that q

You Don't Own Me. ~STELLA~ It was D-Day. I held the lower part of my purple hand-stoned and beaded dress as I climbed the stairs, leading into the hall. Cassian had given me three luxurious dresses, made by one of the most respected and legendary fashion designers from Africa, Veekee James. He'd asked me to wear any for my graduation ceremony. I was graduating. The wait was over and the efforts were finally paying off. A whole year of learning had ended—it was time to step out of the world of being a fashion ‘student’, chase my dream and get that one thing that had been my drive till this moment—power. The past one month—even two had been the same. But the last month had been even tougher and rougher. I hadn't seen him in a month… it'd been two since the incident happened. I hadn't tendered an apology statement online. Nothing. My name was still trending but I didn't care anymore. Two months was enough to move on, right? It'd been two months since I set my eyes on him and tw

“Who is D’Ace?” ~STELLA~ I woke up early as usual, but the only difference between today and yesterday was that I was now a fashion academy graduate with a degree from one of the most prestigious fashion academies. I was still processing every next move, and the last two months, I'd spent on thorough thinking and finalizing the next steps to take. My plans included one thing I never thought would actually happen—moving out. I'd left Rhys at the ceremony last night, but as I'd predicted, he didn't come after me. I was done with the mixed signals, unclear feelings, and whatever it was that had happened between us. Maybe a fresh start was all I needed to feel like the woman I'd actually become again. It was hard… but I knew I could do it. I stepped outside the guesthouse, a large duffel bag hung over my shoulder—it had his three dresses inside. The purple one I'd worn last night. The Red. And the white one. My phone rang again before I left the guesthouse, but I ignored it. Rebek

Owned~RHYS~I wasn't expecting her at my office with the dresses in her hand.I’d spent the whole of last night thinking about my mistakes and how I could correct them without making new mistakes.“Don't make me hate you, Rhys.” She cussed at me, her breath as sharp as the tip of a needle.“Are you sure?” A half-cheeked smile appeared on my lips. I wasn't sure I wanted a wide smile on my lips.“I know you want me just as much as I want you, Blaze.” My hand found her waist with a delicate hold, the other running over her stained lips. She didn't say a word but her eyes said everything I needed to hear. Her eyes had a peculiar, subtle ray in them. Fuck. I took her hand in mine.“I might actually do.”Now that? It was the realest thing she might have said that afternoon. Deep down in every heart that wanted someone or something, there was always a chance to hate. There was always a choice to hate. And that was the most dangerous of all.“Want me to tell you how much I missed you?” I pus
