Semua Bab Done With My Ex, Moving To The Next : Bab 1 - Bab 10

Truth At A Cost ~STELLA~ Two weeks ago, I'd wanted this baby gone. Now every morning, my hand found my stomach before I was even fully awake. Somewhere between the fear and the silence, the baby had stopped feeling like Dylan's. It had started feeling like mine. Dylan’s message had disappeared less than five minutes after I saw it. He hadn’t given any sort of explanation… or apology. No second message either, and it somehow served as just another reminder that my ‘husband’ existed only when he wanted to. “Stella.” Valerie’s voice pulled me from my thoughts. I looked up from the passenger seat. “What?” She held her phone in her hand, her eyebrows slightly raised. She had some sort of excitement on her face. “He found something.” My heart raced at those words. After nearly two weeks of searching, Valerie finally convinced an old cybersecurity friend of hers to help us trace Dylan's last active location. If Dylan was still in London, and we saw him at the hospital two weeks ago,

Forbidden Sparks And Rebellion ~STELLA~ The courtroom remained silent as the judge looked over the final documents placed before him. My heart pounded against my chest. I wasn't afraid of what came next because Dylan and I were already standing at the end of everything we had once called a marriage. The judge adjusted his glasses before speaking. “After reviewing the divorce petition, the evidence presented, and the testimonies provided by both parties, this court has reached its final decision.” My hands tightened together beneath the table. “The marriage between Stella Scott and Dylan Lindesy is hereby dissolved, effective immediately. Both parties are legally declared divorced.” A strange feeling settled in my chest. It was the feeling of freedom. “The properties acquired during the course of the marriage shall be divided according to the ruling of this court. The marital residence shall remain under Miss Stella Scott’s ownership. Any shared assets acquired shall be distribu

An Open Eye Stabbed ~STELLA~ I could finally breathe when the sack was pulled off my head. The men dragged me out of the car into a warehouse… an abandoned one. As they pushed me to the ground, I looked around, hoping Valerie was here too, but no, she wasn't. “And look who we have here.” Taylor appeared from one dark corner of the building, his tone laced with mockery. My eyes burned with tears because I just wanted her safe. The last thing I cared about was whatever he'd do to me. “You see, wifey.” He crouched before me, taking my chin with a finger. I looked into his eyes. “Where's that sassy gaze from the last time at court? Hmm?” He sniggered ferociously. I couldn't say a word because this time, I wasn't the only one involved—Valerie was involved in my mess too. God… “Tay—” I opened my mouth to say something, but he turned towards one of those masked men who'd pushed me in. “Bring in the surprise for our wifey here.” He got up, gently rubbing his palms against each other a

“Some Things” ~RHYS~ Blaze. That name suited her in every way a man could think of. I walked side by side with her till we got to the apartment block. We were still neighbours, after all. “Are you good, Blaze?” I asked her, my hand finding her shoulder gently as I guided her into her apartment. I was like her personal chef, driver too, more like her bodyguard—an overzealous one, at that. I think she'd called me ‘over-protective’ too. Just one year could change a lot of things. I began to find myself caring too hard. I hated that I didn't know how to stop. It was her. While she cried earlier today at her bestfriend's grave, a part of me broke even harder. It hurt that I couldn't do anything about it. The regret settled in. That day, she'd cried her heart out…begging me to save her best friend instead as I arrived at the warehouse where Taylor had ordered his men to beat her up. With blood dripping from her forehead, she’d begged, “Valerie. Go for her. I'll be okay.” But I could

Lust Without Reins ~STELLA~ A few days after turning twenty-six, I moved into Rhys Adrian's home, one of the biggest mansions in town. I didn't want to cross into his house now that we were more exposed to public view. Although there was a side gate from the guesthouse I lived in into his mansion, I made sure I visited only once or twice a week. It'd been two weeks since moving in here. In the last week, I didn't stop by or cross into here at all. I walked into the foyer, ignoring its not-so-surprising-anymore design because I'd seen it a couple times before now. I crept my way to his kitchen; I was going to make a homemade dish for dinner. I'd offered to make dinner for us this evening, so I hurried into the guesthouse to freshen up as soon as a new friend dropped me off. Rhys and I hadn't talked so often since I moved in. Somehow, my time at the academy no longer allowed me. It was either he dropped me off and didn't get to pick me up at the end of the day, or he didn't ge
