บททั้งหมดของ My Alpha’s Regret: Chasing My Pregnant Ex-Wife After Divorce: บทที่ 1 - บทที่ 10

Melinda’s POV"Is it another no?" I asked, my voice barely above a whisper. "Am I not pregnant again?"Dr. Thomas stared at the report in his hands without answering. My stomach sank.Of course. It was the same look he wore every time he told me the news I already expected.Three years of trying but always disappointment. I thought I had become accustomed to the disappointment I felt and I had accepted that I was barren and too weak to carry an Alpha child but every time I sat across from him for assessment I still hoped. I forced a smile and pushed myself to my feet."I should've known better. I only came because I've been feeling nauseous lately. I guess I got my hopes up again.""Melinda."I froze. His voice sounded different."It isn't the same as before."My heart stopped. He looked up from the report and smiled."You're pregnant."I stared at him.I heard him but my mind could not understand what was going on.“Pregnant?” I repeated weakly. He chuckled softly.“Yes.” He nodded.

Melinda’s POV“Dr. Thomas," I breathed relieved, rushing to him.“Please tell them what you told me just twenty minutes ago in your office."He stiffly turned away from me refusing to meet my eyes, Fear crawled into my chest like ice. Something was wrong, terribly wrong.Sweat glistened along his forehead and his hands shook slightly. My heartbeat became uneven. He would not look at me. “No…” I whispered softly.Ashley remained seated beside Carl, a smirk on her face. Carl had both reports in his hand, his expression unreadable. The council elders watched carefully from their seats around the room.“Thomas,” I called again. He flinched slightly and glanced at me briefly. That small reaction made my stomach drop. My fingers curled tightly against my dress.Carl’s gray eyes darkened dangerously.“Answer the question; What the hell is this?” He said to raising the two test results.Thomas swallowed hard.“You examined both women?”“Yes, Alpha,” he answered quickly.“Why do they have

Carl’s POV You’ve been staring at that report for ten minutes Carl." Damon, my Beta, stood across the room with his arms tightly crossed over his chest. His posture was rigid, his jaw set in a hard line that had become permanent over the last seven days. I had not slept properly in the past seven days. The entire office smelled of coffee and reports covered my desk in messy piles. I signed another document harshly before tossing it aside. "We've combed the northern borders twice. No one has seen her. Something is entirely wrong. Melinda would never disappear without a trace, not like this." "She is stubborn, Damon," I snapped, slamming the pen down onto the desk. The sound echoed sharply against the stone walls. "She is being dramatic because she feels cornered an throwing a tantrum because she was caught in a lie. Once she calms down, she will realize she has nowhere else to go. She loves me and she will return." "Will she after what happened in your office and on t

Melinda’s POVBehind me, the savage, guttural howling of rogues echoed through the trees, closing the distance with terrifying speed.A sharp thorn tore at my skin, but I couldn't stop. With every frantic stride I took, bright red blood dripped onto the dead, fallen leaves. I looked back and saw them closing in fast.I heard the sound of my own screams ripping through the trees and tried to run faster as the growls became louder. The rogues were catching up. I could hear them crashing through the undergrowth hunting and enjoying it.Tears blurred my vision and I wrapped my arms protectively around my stomach while running. Please just let my babies survive.A roar exploded behind me then I felt unbearable pain. Claws tore across my back and I screamed. My body slammed into the ground and I saw a pool of blood. There was so much blood but I tried to crawl away; I had to protect my stomach.I couldn’t lose consciousness.Suddenly a massive, terrifying shadow rushed toward me out of the

Melinda’s POVThe elders’ claim left me completely shaken. All my life I believed I was a nobody, an unwanted orphan left behind on the neutral pack lands. The possibility that I actually belonged to someone, that I had a family, felt utterly impossible.I couldn't stop thinking about it.I sat curled up near the window with a blanket wrapped around my shoulders waiting anxiously for the Beta.Inside, my hand rested protectively over my stomach. My babies kicked softly and the sensation made me smile but immediately afterward, I felt sad.My thoughts drifted somewhere I didn't want them to go.Kael. I squeezed my eyes shut wondering.Did he even know I was alive? Was he still sleeping in the Master suite with Selene, completely indifferent to the fact that I had fled into a blizzard?Or he didn’t even realize I was gone? The door opened drawing me out of my thoughts. Martha stepped inside, and right behind her was a tall, heavily built man with silver-streaked hair and a commanding pr
