All Chapters of One Mate Was Never Enough : Chapter 31 - Chapter 40

POV: Chloe I woke up to the singular experience of being the filling in a very attractive, very inconvenient sandwich. The awareness of being watched made me smile. I could literally feel their eyes boring holes on my face. Both of them...They’re sitting on either side of the bed, elbows on knees, looking at me with an attention that would have been flattering under different circumstances. But not right now...I’m not finding it funny, or flattering. They are both wearing just boxers, neither of them was wearing a shirt. With the way they are sitting staring at me, I could vividly make out the shape of there half hardened dicks through their boxer, and it’s making me want to touch it.I’ve seen both guys on different occasions, both rock hard solid, thick and huge. Seeing them this way is creating such dirty pictures in my head, making my body heat up.I can imagine stroking both guys, my hand stroking one dick while my mouth sucked on the other. God!What is wrong with

POV: Chloe The signal dropped at 3:47 PM. One bar, then none, then the blank silence of a phone that has nothing and no one to connect to. I stared at the screen for three seconds and then put it away and looked at Tristan's face and focused on what I could actually do, which was hold his hand and talk to him and keep him awake.Except he wasn't awake anymore...He'd been quiet for a while, not his usual teasing quiet while making pointed observations about whether I was crying, but the wrong kind of quiet. His breathing was still present and his pulse still moved under my fingers but his face had gone still in a way that made something very cold happen in my chest."Tris." I squeezed his hand. Nothing. "Tristan. Hey. I know you can hear me, you're an Alpha, your wolf is strong and stable, you said so yourself, you were very smug about it, so wake up..."Nothing.I pressed my fingers to his pulse again. Still there. Still steady, but slower than I wanted."Don't you dare," I said,

POV: Ethan Tristan’s full healing should’ve felt like relief.Instead, it felt like the calm after a storm, one that never really ended, it just changed shape.Because the moment his eyes opened and Chloe launched herself into his arms like she’d been starving for air.I knew exactly where this was going. It’s going back to the staring, the hovering and fussing over him. Its going back to the way Chloe watched Tristan like he was the only heartbeat in the room.Eight days.Thats how long he’d been out, and for those eight days, I’d been the one standing guard while he lay there broken.I’d chosen my spot against the wall on purpose. I wanted to be seen. I wanted it to be obvious I was watching. Not because I cared for show, but because I needed Chloe to remember what it felt like when I was the one who had control.Tristan teased her in his usual way. Flashing a weak grin, soft voice, smug little tilt of his head like he hadn’t just terrified everyone. Chloe blushed hard enough to

POV: Tristan I hit my brother at the altar, and I must confess that I am not proud of myself. It started as just a confrontation, but things escalated and I didn’t stop when I should have.I fucking lost control... The guests cleared the room fast, and then it was just the two of us in a venue strewn with flowers that had cost a fortune and a veil abandoned on a chair.I hit him because of the hallucinogens, the pregnancy test that is fake.I hit him because I had spent seven years building an entire city for a woman, waiting with a patience that had cost me more than I’d ever said out loud. And my brother had decided the answer to that was chemistry and deception and a wedding booked before she’d had time to think.God, I hit him so bad...He had deceived me and almost stolen my girl.I was so blinded by rage and the realisation that I had almost lost her because of his lies. I did not realise I was hurting my brother, and the girl I love the most. Because I was furi

POV: Tristan He was more grown than I'd given him credit for. And as he was looking at me, I realized, that he was having the same thought about me, as if just realising that there is no much difference between us."You actually love her," he said. Not a challenge, just an observation."I've loved her for nine years," I said. "I fucking built a city about it." I chuckled."I know." He was quiet for a moment. "I think I knew before I admitted it. There's something in the way you talk about her work, the way you look at her." He almost smiled. "Like you would fight the world for her." I looked at him.“I would,” I said, meaning it."Underneath all the cold, mean Alpha look," he said, carefully, "You're actually quite, I don't know, cool I guess." He smiled."That’s deeply offensive," I said. He did smile then, briefly, the real one. "I mean it as a compliment."“I’m the coolest between us, man, don’t say that about me,” I teased, making him laugh a hearty genuine laug
