All Chapters of His Enemy’s Heir: Chapter 11 - Chapter 20

Ryan read the message that his Mom sent him carefully while Emily looked at him. Margaret called his cellphone again and again and it buzzed in his hands continuously. “Pick up the phone.” Emily urged him. He shook his head. “Why don't you want to take your mother's call? “She asked me to explain to you in detail what happened to your parents.” Margaret stopped calling Ryan for a moment. “Go on and tell me what happened to my parents.’’ Emily demanded. Before Ryan could say anything, Margaret started calling him again. He decided to answer it this time. “Where are you?” She demanded to know, in a cold tone.“Why do you want to know?” He asked, looking at Emily. “I want to come to my house now.” “I cannot drop everything I am doing and start coming right away.” Ryan replied. “You have no clue about what is going on.” “Whatever is going on, you have to say it over the phone.” There was a brief moment of silence. “Is your wife there with you?” Margaret asked softly but Ryan did not re

Damian Knight used the last 15 years of his life to run after the past, nevertheless he never foresaw that it would come running after him. He glared at the picture that was sent to him.The picture was taken on the night his dad was suspected of embezzling millions of dollars from Carter Holdings. That was the last normal night that Damian had before his life turned to a complete mess.Damian called Ethan and gave the phone to him. He glared at the picture. Ethan said “This is Dad, together with your in-laws.”Ethan looked closely again and noticed the picture stamp, “This picture was captured just before the defamation.” “Yes it was.” Damian said, with an unsteady voice. “Can you see uncle Victor smiling at the back?” Damian affirmed. As Damian pinpointed the picture, he was engrossed in the paper envelope that Emiiy's father was holding in his hand. The paper envelope had a tiny handwriting that says Project Eclipse. Damian instructed Ethan to look for every little thing that is

The picture that Emily received on her cellphone just went ahead to prove that somebody was earnestly expecting her to discover her father's old house.Emily glared again at the picture and saw how her husband's mother was standing calmly and it made her wonder. “How on earth did she find that house?” Sophia asked. “Your guess is as good as mine.’’ Emiiy responded. “Damian grabbed the mobile phone from her and asked “When was the last time you visited that house?” That question brought back memories to Emiiy. Memories she had spent years trying to forget. That was the house where Emiiy grew up with her parents. She hasn't been to that house since the tragic death of her parents. She thought the house had been destroyed. “She ignored that question.”“What is Margaret doing there?” He asked again. Emily didn't have that answer. Her mobile phone beeped again as yet another message was sent to her from the same anonymous sender. The message said “Do not think of going to that house.” So

Nobody said anything for a couple of seconds. Three of them were confused. None of them had any explanation for what they just saw, because the woman they saw standing inside Emiiy's parents house was her mother's was a spitting image of her mother. It was not just her mother's look-alike.Sophia glared at the phone again for three solid minutes. “So my mother is alive.” Emiiy muttered with mixed feelings. “Are you certain that she is your mother?” Sophia responded as her expression changed.“Do you think I would be confused about my own mother? The woman who gave birth to me, nurtured me for several years.” “Come on, I might be naive, but I am not a fool.” Emiiy said as her hands began to tremble. Emiiy's mother and father passed twenty years ago, she even attended their funeral. The mystery here is why does the woman in that picture look so much like her mother? “Emily’s mother was the person I saw, I recognized her from old family pictures because I was still young when the news o

The caution she got on her phone made her think twice. As she glared at the windows of the house she grew up in, Sophia held her hand and said “We need to turn back,” Emily continuously glared at the building. It was clear that someone was inside the house. They are guessing if it is Elena Reed or someone entirely different.Just as they were trying to figure it out, a security personnel from the team came to their car. “We can see someone moving.” He said as Emily's heart jumped. “Where exactly did you see the movement?” Emily asked. “Upstairs,” as he points to the direction of the movement. They saw a shade moving across the room upstairs. Emily was familiar with that room. She remembered it because when she was growing up, her Dad was always in that room. The desk was always covered with various books and documents. Her father has always left her a stern warning never to enter the study without permission or supervision. All of a sudden, the whole place was dark, and all the build
