All Chapters of His Enemy’s Heir: Chapter 41 - Chapter 50

Olivia had pretended for two years that she could live without Damian, but that act was getting harder to keep up.That morning, she was sitting in her apartment and looking at the small box that contained the engagement ring. She had persuaded herself that she would avoid Damian. At least for the present. But leaving someone alone and letting them forget you are not the same thing.Olivia was not ready for anyone to forget her. She closed the box and placed it in her purse. Her phone started to ring immediately.Claire was the one calling."Do you still intend to meet Damian?" Claire inquired.Olivia cast her eyes at the window and replied, "I haven't made up my mind.""You said you were going to stop bothering him," Claire stated.Olivia said, "I told myself I wouldn't go after him." "But that doesn't mean that I won't talk to him again."Claire sighed and said "Damian has moved on, Olivia."Olivia grinned."Has he?""Do you understand what I'm talking about?" Claire asked.Olivia r

Emily made a decision that frightened her more than being pregnant by the time morning came. She finally decided to inform Damian. Not immediately. Not over the phone either. She was determined to look into his eyes as she expressed herself. She stayed motionless at the edge of the bed for a while, considering everything that had happened since the evening at the Langford Grand. Her union with Ryan had fallen apart. She had abandoned the existence she had formerly thought would endure indefinitely.Damian had then appeared in her life. She was pregnant with his baby at this point.Emily placed her hand on her tummy."I must inform him," she murmured. She had no idea how Damian would react. However, she could not keep it from him anymore. She took her phone and decided to text Damian. His name was still at the top of her call log She wrote:Could we get together today? I have something important to say to you.She looked at the message. After typing that, she deleted it.She had to ca

Emily glanced at herself in the mirror. She was not aware that Damian had also made plans to meet with Olivia that night. By this point, she had already changed out her attire three times. Nothing seemed to fit perfectly. She wasn't getting dressed to impress Damian. She was getting ready because she needed to feel confident enough to express what she had been bottling up for days; her pregnancy. She put a hand on her stomach because of that thought. She took a big breath. She was going to tell him tonight. She couldn't keep the truth hidden forever. Her phone vibrated. It was a message from Damian.I'm heading there, the message said.Emily gazed at it for a while..She hadn't anticipated seeing him so quickly. She started writing an answer.I'll be prepared. She paused after that and she cancelled it.Instead, she merely put the phone down. She preferred to inform him in person. No texts. No breaks.Nobody else is around.just the two of them.Olivia was seated peacefully in her car

The next day dawned with a strange feeling of quietness but Emily understood that quietness could be misleading. She remained still for a few minutes because she woke up before her alarm.Damian came to her mind right away. She remembered how her plans to tell Damian about the pregnancy failed last night. She made up her mind that no matter what happens, she is going to inform Damian about the baby today because she was unable to put off the discussion any longer. She rose from her bed and moved toward the window. She wondered why the anonymous texts no longer came in.There were no calls from strange numbers. No fresh information has come from Daniel. In fact, it was almost like the investigation had come to an end.Maybe that was just what she needed.A peaceful day. An opportunity to make up her mind.Sophia woke up and found Emily in the kitchen. "You're awake early," she said."I couldn't sleep," Emily stated."Because of Damian?" Sophia asked.Emily bowed her head and said "Yes.

Emily was left uncertain by Damian's recent statements. She did not know which of the secrets frightened her more."Someone has uncovered something else," Damian said, and Emily looked at him."What did they discover?" " Emily asked.Damian fixed his attention on his phone."I'm not sure yet," he responded. "The caller didn't explain over the phone.""Who was it, then?" " Emily urged."My father's former attorney," Damian said. "He said he found another document among records that had recently been moved from an old storage space."Emily's heart pounded."Does it mention my father?" she inquired."I'm not certain," Damian answered. They remained silent for several moments.Emily looked at the file Damian had placed on the dashboard. Her father's name was still legible. She was unable to understand it.Her parents had both passed away, yet while they were alive, they had never revealed anything to her about Damian's family. They could not have known what had happened with Damian's pare
