“Supreme Alpha King Leonidas.”A bold voice broke through the tension. Artemisia had stepped out from the crowd, holding a goblet of dark blood-wine. Her rhinestone dress clung tightly to her curves, her scent flaring with open invitation as she swayed her hips, deliberately drawing the eyes of every high-ranking male in the room.“You did not receive the proper warrior's welcome during your last visit to our pack lands. Please accept my deepest apologies,” she murmured, her voice dropping to a seductive, velvety purr as she extended the goblet. “Artemisia begs for your clemency. When you next hunt on our borders, I will ensure your needs are fully met.”Leonidas looked right past her, his gaze locking directly onto me. I forced myself to glance over, but the moment our eyes met, I snapped my head back around. A rival female was openly offering herself to her sister's future mate, and instead of fighting for my rank, I just sat there accepting a drink from a passing server.Leonidas’s

GORGO LYKAON POV"There is blood on the shattered stones near the Whispering Moon Woods path," I whisper frantically, my eyes scanning the carnage where the barrier had been completely ripped apart. The territory rider has already been rushed to the Lunar Healing Sanctuary, and a few fang sentinels are sweeping the area for rogue scents, but Nyra Blackmoon is nowhere to be found."Nyra's communication stone!"My eyes catch the glint of metal among the debris. I lunged forward to seize it, but a heavy sentinel claw blocks my path."Step back, young female, this evidence cannot be disturbed by an outsider.""That belongs to my pack sister!" I snap, my inner wolf snarling with desperate aggression. "Are you absolutely certain only the male riders were recovered from the wreckage? What about the other female? The omega of my cycles who was traveling inside that carriage!""The healing omegas only transported the two male drivers," the sentinel barks back defensively. "There was no young f

"Future Luna, the Supreme King has already declared that even if the sun rises over the horizon, this eternal lunar bond will be sealed!" Stelios leaps onto the dock, his face dripping with sweat as he glares at me. "This is the second time you have disrupted the sacred altar! If we post a cancellation scroll, the High Matron's heart will fail from the dishonor!""It matters not," Leonidas cuts in, his voice carrying the absolute weight of a king who can break the world with his bare hands. He fixes his piercing golden eyes onto my face, his gaze burning with unyielding possession. "Do exactly as she commands. Leak the scroll."NYRA BLACKMOON POV "The silver tokens have officially cleared the royal ledger," a heavy, scarred rogue barks excitedly, staring down at his glowing crystal device. The three males standing on the dark sands of Suley Island wear heavy leather masks to hide their pack markings. Hearing the confirmation of their wealth makes their predatory scents spike with gre

GORGO LYKAON POV"She is going to drown! Nyra's wolf cannot swim, she is completely helpless in the crushing black tides!" I scream to the empty night air, throwing my weight directly over the jagged stone ledge before my brain can even process the suicidal plunge.I never mastered the shifting currents myself, but my inner beast only knows one primitive command: save the pack sister, or perish beneath the waves. With a deafening splash, the freezing water smashes against my skull, making my vision go violently dark."Nyra!"The moment my lips part, thick salt water pours into my throat, completely suffocating my lungs. I thrash wildly, my claws scratching against the dark currents as I track her scent markers down into the abyss. Somehow, my limbs move with frantic power, driving me deeper into the heavy undertow."Nyra, hold on!"A massive swell lifts my slender frame, tossing me around like a leaf before dragging me under again. My lungs burn with pure agony, and my vision blurs in

GORGO LYKAON POV"In fact, the most vicious thing is that your beast simply couldn’t hold its hunger for a single second longer…"Hearing Leonidas’s lethal, deep velvet voice echo through the massive speakers of the Wolf King's Circle makes my inner wolf completely freeze. As the sheer weight of his declaration registers across the silent courtyard, my cheeks ignite with an intense, burning flush. I am so thoroughly mortified that I want to claw through the sacred stone altar and bury myself alive. Is the Supreme Alpha King actually taking the blame for our hours of absence? But why by the Moon Goddess did he have to choose an excuse that implies we were tearing each other's clothes off in a carnal frenzy?I shift my weight to back away from the heat of his torso, but Leonidas’s iron arm tightens like a vice around my waist, pinning my lower back flush against his hard groin, completely forbidding even a millimeter of retreat. My wide-eyed, blushing submission only makes his scandalou

GORGO LYKAON POV"Just wait for the blood law tribunal. Elara Frostfang executed a dark sacrifice upon her own throat," Nyra's vocal cords vibrate with such volatile panic that I can hear her heavy breath hyperventilating through the spiritual link. "Her life force is draining inside the Silverclaw Healing Hall as we speak, and she remains entirely unconscious.""What did she leave behind?" I demand, my wolf locking onto the tactical threat."Before she slashed her own neck, she etched a blood oath testament onto the public territory stones," Nyra cries, her voice breaking. "She claimed my wolf subjected her to horrific blood torment, and that my pack is backed by a lethal, unseen dominion. The Great Pack Assembly is directing all their venom straight at my throat!""Have you consumed any raw meat or fresh water today?" I ask, assessing her state.Nyra merely emits a low, pathetic whine through the bond.I don't waste time lecturing her on survival. Realizing she hasn't taken a single

GORGO LYKAON POV"Do you truly comprehend the lethal power shielding those rogues?" Themistocles Drakon stands firm, his massive frame absolute, like a fortress wall of ancient stone that completely bars our advance into the timber warehouse."They are the exact mercenaries who ambushed Nyra at the shoreline last night!" I shout, my claws twitching as I try to peer past his wide shoulders. "Lord Themistocles, move aside! Do not let their leader escape into the deeper territory!"The tall Silverfang Noble blocks my entire field of vision, but I can feel the sudden shift in his dominant aura. His golden eyes are utterly frigid, lacking even a shred of heat, and a dark realization grips my mind. Why is he standing at this exact warehouse threshold? If he came to assist my lineage, why did Yang Gao run straight to his back for protection?"Lord Themistocles..." I growl, my hackles raising."Cease your hunt and return to the citadel with me," he demands, taking a deliberate step forward."

"Where do you think you are going?" his deep baritone drops into a dangerous register."Away from a compromised king!" I snap, thrashing against his hold. "You have a royal lineage to protect, but I have a pack sister to avenge! I will slaughter whoever put that poison in her den! Release me!"What does a common wolf's pain matter to a ruler of the First Wolf King Lineage?"And then what? Invoke a blood feud? Call a Great Pack Assembly tribunal? What do you think your weak wolf will find?" Leonidas looks down at me, his gaze freezing my breath.I bite my lip, my rage burning so hot I want to tear his flawless, arrogant face to shreds with my fangs. "You intend to bury their crimes forever!""No. The mercenaries will face the silver mines," he says coldly, tapping the glass. The partition drops, and Stelios speaks from the front seat. "Future Luna, the three rogue wolves have been delivered to the Fang Sentinels for lifetime labor. Their claws have been clipped.""And the mastermind? W

GORGO LYKAON POV"Our sovereign king is ascending to the upper floor, but the future Luna's heavy oak door remains firmly sealed," Beta Stelios Thornfang mumbles from the shadows of the stone corridor, watching Leonidas pause before my threshold. He hesitates, his clawed hand hovering near the wood, completely caught in an uncharacteristic moment of uncertainty. The omnipotent ruler of the Silverclaw Throne, hesitant to breach a simple chamber door? It is a sight that would make the Great Pack Assembly look twice.Stelios steps forward, his voice a low, respectful rumble. "Supreme Alpha, should my wolf intervene and request an audience with the future Luna on your behalf?""What business do your eyes have with my female?" Leonidas’s voice drops into an immediate, glacial sub-zero register. His dark aura flares so violently that the torchlight along the corridor wall flickers."I... I intended no disrespect, Supreme King," Stelios quickly bows his head, backpedaling from the sudden, po

"Have no fear, King. I will not compromise your precious reputation," I hiss, throwing my weight against the wood to lock the door. But his palm remains flat against the oak, a solid barrier of iron."Step away from my chamber!""This entire fortress belongs to my bloodline," Leonidas takes a dominant step across the threshold, forcing his way into my private space. "No female dictates which rooms my beast can inhabit."It is a classic, tyrannical excuse, but it serves his true intent perfectly. He closes the distance, his scent of cedar and ozone completely flooding the bedroom."If you refuse to grant me peace, I will depart for the Silverclaw Healing Hall this instant!" I turn toward the window, desperate to check on Nyra. If he hadn't forced his riders to drag me back to these estates, I would be guarding her bed right now.Leonidas glances back at the corridor. Stelios takes the cue instantly, pulling the heavy door shut and engaging the brass bolt from the outside."Stelios! Unl
