Elias’ pov“You know she also has feelings right?” Kael asked. “Ohh please, what does that have to do with me?” I asked back as we walked to our rooms. “I am only being truthful, you guys want to lie to her?” I asked, raising my brows. Even if Liora weren't our mate, I would never have willingly agreed to marry Sierra. There was nothing about her that interested me. I just saw her as a lousy, sometimes annoying girl. Kael sighed. “I ignored Liora today,” he let out. I turned to him with a raised brow. “Why would you even do that? Are you insane?” I asked him, glaring at him. “I didn't mean to. I just did not know what to say to her at that point,” Kael whispered. “I know I fucked up so bad, I honestly did not mean to. I was literally speechless. There was nothing to say,"he added. “Kael—”“That is no explanation,”“I am sure by now she would have realized that something is wrong,” I said. “Can we stop hiding things from people? First our dad and now, Liora. She deserves t

Liora’s povI put on my flip-flops and started heading to Elias's room. After so much back-and-forth, I decided that seeing Elias was better than any of the others. After Kael ignored me today, I didn't think I'd approach him until he came to me first and actually apologized!I walked along the silent hallways, hoping whatever was happening was not bad. Getting to Elias's room, I noticed it was slightly open and caught a glimpse of a lady. I took careful steps until I could see the room clearly.“This cannot be true,” I thought as I saw Sierra and Elias in a pretty awkward position. Why was she holding him like she was going to kiss him or something?I wanted to barge in and scream at Elias. Why the fuck did they have to lie to me?So they pretended like they were over with Sierra for what reason?Tears threatened to spill from my eyes but I managed to control them. I needed to be out of here before anyone saw me. After all, Sierra was their rightful fiancé. I didn't have a say

Sierra’s pov“You look pretty decent,” I complimented her, staring at her outfit from head to toe.Cecile stared at herself and also forced a smile. “You know, this is what I say,” I flipped my hair sideways, still maintaining the smile on my face. “Everyone wants to live the life of the rich. Look how much better you look, even though the outfits are pretty cheap, at least it is a change from your usual uniform,” I told her. I shook my head in pity. “Where are you headed to? The market?” I asked her. Cecile stared at me in shock like I had said something extraordinary. What the hell was wrong with her?I was only trying to be nice to her.I gave her a dirty look, this was why I disliked being nice to the masses. She looked absolutely stunned by my compliments. “Market?” she repeated after me. I gave her a knowing look. “Of course. These are merely upgraded rags,” I commented, snorting.“What the hell is wrong with you,” I heard Liora’s raging voice behind me. I folded my

Liora’s pov“Thank you for saving the day,” I whispered to Ava.Cecile had gotten down from the car and was waiting for me to also join her. Ava smiled at me in response, squeezing my hands gently. “I’ll do this, any day and anytime.”I smiled at her appreciatively because there was nothing else I could do.The only thing I could do was to thank the moon goddess for blessing me with such a good friend. She was more than good to me.“But you know you have a lot to tell me right? Didn’t you speak to them?”I already knew who she was talking about. I looked at Cecile still waiting for me outside and Ava got the memo. “We will talk later then, make sure you have a great day. My driver will come pick you up later in the evening,” She said. I gave her a quick hug before getting down from the car. “What took you so long? You both act so inseparable,” Cecile said, chuckling softly. I rolled my eyes in response. “Because we are, trust me. I don’t think she can do without me,” I said.

Liora’s pov“Thank you so much,” Cecile thanked me, embracing me. I smiled at her. “I would do this every day if I could. You deserve more than this,” I told her still smiling at her. “I have to head back inside and sort out dinner. I’ll talk to you later,” Cecile said. “No, you are not supposed to work again today. Just head back inside and sleep. Or watch a movie, anything but working,” I argued with her. Cecile sighed. “I actually love working, Liora. As much as I enjoyed today’s adventure, I miss making sure everything was orderly. Let me do this and today would be my best day,” She said. I let out a defeated sigh. “Not like I can convince you not to, anyway,” I muttered. She chuckled softly and waved at me before heading back to the kitchen. All this while, Kael was standing behind me. I started heading to my room whilst Kael followed me. He better not think he's going to speak to me and expect me to listen to him. They could all go back to Sierra and do whatever th

Elias’ pov“She still doesn't want to talk?” I asked Kael. Kael stared at the space between us. “What do you think?” he replied, not tearing his gaze away from her. “Let’s go to her room after this, maybe we could convince her to speak to me,” Ronan said. We had just finished dinner, Cecile was packing up while our dad spoke to Liora about something. Whatever it was, it made her laugh so much, and I guess she was in a better mood than she was earlier. “Hey boys,” Sierra walked up to us, blocking my view of Liora. I stretched to get a proper view of Liora, totally ignoring Sierra. “Are you even listening to me?” she questioned when no one was giving her a listening ear. Sierra scoffed in disbelief and turned to check our line of sight. “Of course, I am not surprised at all,” She commented, shaking her head. “Have you guys spoken to her about her involvement in your mother’s death?” Sierra asked. Kael hitched his breath harshly. “Don't speak like that.”“We were born a few

Liora’s pov“Liora,” Elias called out, but I didn't say anything to him.I stared at the wall in front of me, completely gobsmacked. Maybe I was dreaming?Definitely, I can't believe I just heard all of these. “Please say something, I understand that it was a lot to take,” Elias added. His words sounded so distant despite just standing a few kilometers away from me. “Liora, please—”I turned to Kael sharply. “Please?”“Did you just say that to me?” I asked him angrily. I got up abruptly, snapping back to my senses. “Did I hear you correctly—”I paused, rolling my hands to form a fist. “No, I refuse to believe whatever you have said. Is that why you all have been acting distant to me?” I asked them angrily. “Liora—-”“I understand your anger,” Elias said. He took a few steps towards me and tried to hold my arms but I yanked them away angrily. “You can't be serious! How dare you try to hold me?” I asked him angrily. “I thought you all were mature!”“I thought you had changed,

Kael’s pov“Do you think she can ever forgive us?” I asked Elias. Elias folded his arms across his chest, his face was stone-hard. I knew he was angry with himself. “I am going to send Sierra out of this house,” Elias muttered angrily. “What do you plan to tell Dad?” Ronan asked him. Elias cursed under his breath. “I don't give a fuck! She has done more than enough, why would she even lie about our mother?” Elias asked. “We should not blame anyone for this. We chose to believe her,” I finally spoke up. After what Liora said, I actually picked something. She did not necessarily deny the claims, she was just annoyed that we let it affect our relationship and I agreed with her. “Our father has made a lot of mistakes which I am sure he is regretting. We don't know the true story behind all of this but we shouldn't let it affect ours,” I told my brothers. Elias nodded in agreement. “I don't give a fuck about what happened to them. Liora is my mate, chosen by the moon goddess and

Sierra’s povI laughed hysterically, clapping my arms together. “You can come out now, you got me,” I yelled, staring at the corners of the dining hall. I turned back to Elias and saw that he had a confused look on his face. “Hold on, are you being serious?”“Is this not a prank?”I shook my head again. Yeah, it better be a prank or a comedy show. Or a skit. Well, anything but reality. “W—- what are you saying?” I asked him, stammering. “You heard me right, Sierra. This is not the first time I am also saying this,” he added, making matters worse. “B—but,”I was speechless, I tried to think of what to say but no matter how I tried, I just hung. “I can’t believe you would lie and use our mother’s name. That is disgusting!” Kael spat out angrily. I shook my head immediately. “I am not lying about anything. Is that what Liora told you? That I am lying, trust me, she is the liar!”“She and her mother planned to destroy your family, they want to ruin it.”I gulped harder than I sh

Liora’s povI put on my flip-flops and headed downstairs to meet Cecile. I had been in my bed all day, preparing for my upcoming project. I had no choice but to do extremely well else I would have to repeat and my scholarship doesn’t even cover me repeating. Besides, who wants to repeat anyways.I still have not thought of what to do after this. I was thinking of going into healthcare but I don’t know if I can handle the stress. It is so stressful!I wrapped my hands around Cecile and placed my head on her shoulders. “You should get the award for best in being in the kitchen,” I joked, smiling at her. She was making rice and cabbage sauce, the aroma filled the room. “Well, I deserve the award,” she said, raising the spoon in her hands. “I haven’t seen any of you all morning, what are you up to this time,” I let out a puff of air, opened the fridge, and searched for any juice I could take before lunch was ready. “School work, I am literally so exhausted. I didn’t know it was
