Kael’s pov“We need to move," Elias said, his grip tightening on the spear. "Now."We started running downstairs. The pack house was already in chaos.I could hear the screams echoing from downstairs, the crash of furniture being overturned, the growls of rogues as they tore through what our father had built for years. My blood boiled. This was our territory! Our pack! And someone had made us vulnerable. There were several questions in my head but I couldn't think about that now. I couldn't think about who had done this, or how. All I could focus on was survival. We reached the bottom of the stairs just as the front doors burst open. Rogues poured through the entrance like a flood of darkness; at least thirty of them were there. Their eyes glowed with feral hunger."FOR THE DURBAN PACK!" I roared, raising my blade.Elias let out a battle cry beside me, and we charged. The first rogue came at me fast. Without my wolf, my reflexes were dulled, my movements slower. I barely escape

Liora’s povOne moment, I was struggling with a rogue who wanted to capture me; the next, everyone was flying across the room. I looked at my hands and felt the crazy surge of energy through my body. Another rogue lunged at me again, this time, I channeled the energy towards him and sent him flying across the room. I didn’t care about how I got this mysterious power, all I cared about was saving the pack. Ronan and I were searching for Cecile; I refused to hide anywhere without saving her too. “Liora!” I heard Kael groan but I couldn’t control myself. I kept sending anyone in my path flying, slashing, and smashing. “Liora, try to control it. No one can come close to you,” Kael shouted. I tried to stop it but I couldn’t. “I can’t,” I let out a frustrated cry, trying my best to control but I couldn’t. “We can’t reach you, baby. Calm your nerves. You can do this,” I heard Elias say. “None of you should come close to me, please,” I pleaded. “Just keep the rogues coming, don’t

Kael’s pov“How many people were lost during the attack?” I asked the head guard as we tried to document everything that had happened. “Fifty are found dead at the moment. For now, twenty-five are missing,” he said. I let out an exasperated sigh, pushing the book in front of me away. “This is such a massive loss,” I muttered, shaking my head in dismay. “You have to be strong for us,” he muttered back, lowering his head dejectedly. I sighed for the umpteenth time that morning. “And has my father gotten the news about this?” I asked. “Yes, he got the news immediately when the war broke out but it was advised that he stay there for a bit. We don’t know but they might have set traps for him,” He answered. I nodded my head in agreement. We were still talking when Ronan limped in. “Ronan,” I called out his name with a small smile. I got up and gave him a side hug. “Did you think we were going to leave you to handle all of these alone?” He asked with a smile. I wanted to slap hi

Liora’s pov“Cecile!” I called out her name and rushed to her, hugging her tightly. She spun me around, checking my entire body. “I was so worried about you girls, I prayed that nothing happened to you,”Tears dropped from my eyes. “Well, I am doing better I guess. But Elias, he —”Cecile held my arms and squeezed them soothingly. “I heard about his condition. Every pack member is praying for his safety, I really hope nothing terrible happens,” Cecile said. I nodded my head in agreement, crying. I would never be able to forgive myself if anything happened to him. Sooner or later, the truth was going to be out. I am sure somebody else saw me killing those rogues and that person will start blabbing their mouth soon. Everything happened so quickly, I still have not been able to wrap my head around it. Where did I suddenly get this crazy power from? From what I knew since I was little, I was always being bullied for being extremely weak. I was barely even a werewolf, how did th

Sierra’s pov“You didn't tell me about any of this?” I retorted, scanning the environment in fear. Lucien let out a small laugh. “This is far more than you, Sierra. But trust me, I'll handle the job,” He said. I kissed my teeth in irritation. “That's what you keep on saying yet I don't see any result!”I whisper-yelled. The only thing he'd done was make the pack fully aware. They were now guards stationed at every point. It was so hard to leave the pack house without one of them following me. All of this was honestly so frustrating!“I have told you to trust me, you really have to,” I tapped my feet repeatedly, biting my inner cheek. I mean, what else did I have to lose? This idiot already killed several people. “How hard is it to kill her?” I asked him angrily, still whispering. “She is just a mere omega! Your stupid members went on a killing spree and yet, she wasn't even one of them! She is looking very fine, not even a scratch!” I said in frustration. “Well, so that y

Liora’s pov“Where are you headed?” Cecile asked me. I stopped in my tracks to respond to her. “Heading to see Elias. You all be policing me around,” I joked.Cecile chuckled in response. “You know since the incident happened, everyone has been on edge,” I nodded my head in agreement. “I will be joining you soon, I just have to handle cooking,” Cecile offered and I immediately shook my head. “I have this handled, trust me. Just focus on what you have to do. I don't want you overworking yourself,” I told her. We spoke for a few more minutes before I headed to the other side of the pack house. That was where Elias was receiving treatment. For days, I have been so anxious to head there. Anytime I ask Kael or Ronan about his health status and they tell me that there wasn't any improvement, it breaks my heart. I had been feeling so guilty that I couldn't even show my face where he was. “You have this handled, Liora. No need to fret,” I muttered. Maybe Lucien wasn't really refer

Liora’s povI yawned tiredly, stretching. “I guess it is time for me to sleep,” I muttered, yawning repeatedly. I went back to my room to get my phone and returned shortly after. Thankfully, there was a bed of his own for whoever was staying the night to sleep. I changed the bedspread before lying down to sleep. I lay on the bed and slowly allowed sleep to take over. *********I was standing in a field that I couldn’t recognize, though something about it made it seem painfully familiar. The sky above was a bruised purple, I didn’t know what time of day it was. But the air smelled of rain and iron. “How did I get here?” I thought, staring at myself. My clothes were wet and something was off about all of this. I started walking, trying to leave the field but then I felt the grass beneath my feet was wet. “Tsk, I am not even wearing slippers?” I thought and looked at the ground. My eyes widened in fear and shock when I found out what was beneath me. The floor wasn’t wet fro

Kael’s pov“Hey man,” I greeted Ronan, patting his shoulders. Ronan looked exhausted.“How was yesterday’s patrol?” I asked him. He stretched tiredly. “We didn't see anything, not even a sign at all. Sometimes, I wonder if it was even real,” Ronan said. I rubbed my palms and let out a frustrated sigh. “I worry that we might not be ready the next time they attack,” “It is not clear that they are not only powerful than us but they are also very strategic. That only explains why we still haven't been able to capture any one of them,” I told Ronan. “Whatever it is, I just need the episode to be over,” He replied. “I'll take over patrol tonight,” I offered. He smiled at me and started walking away but stopped. “Have you checked on Elias and Liora? She stayed with him all night,” Ronan said. I raised my brows. “Why did she stay with him?” I asked him. Ronan walked back to me. “You know she still feels guilty about all of this. I totally understand her,”“I tried to force her t

Sierra’s povI strolled out of the room casually but stopped in my tracks when I noticed everyone was looking frantic. “What happened again this time?” I let out, huffing. It seemed like no day went by without something going wrong. “Hey, come over here,” I called to one of the maids. She scurried to where I stood, bowing her head slightly. “What went wrong this time?” I asked her, rolling my eyes. “Ma'am, Ms Liora is nowhere to be found. The Alphas have ordered a search for her,” She told me. I rolled my eyes, pushing my hair behind my ears. “What's wrong with that bitch and always getting missing?” I thought, annoyed. I kissed my teeth in irritation. “You can leave,” I muttered, waving her off dismissively. I huffed again, crossing my arms over each other. “I don't even give a hoot if she goes missing,” I muttered. I hated that her life was so much connected to mine. She was such an attention-seeking bitch!Always wanting the attention to revolve around her. “Ohh godde

Kael’s pov“I thought she changed,” Cecile whispered as Sierra walked away. I scoffed in response. “She will never change, you have to understand that,” I replied. “Why will she even think that way? What the hell is wrong with her? We are literally talking about a person missing and that is all she had to say?” Ronan said angrily. I waved my hands dismissively. “I think it is time for our father to know she is missing, let's take this seriously before she gets harmed,” I suggested. Ronan nodded and we both headed to our father’s office. When we got there, we found him talking with some guards. “How did nobody see anything? This is preposterous!” He shouted, banging his hand on the table. Frustration was very evident on his face. He had been trying to discover who was behind the attack yet every move kept taking us to a dead end. There were no clues, no mistakes, nothing at all. We were left to try to figure out what was going on. Knowing my father, this stained his repu
