Liora’s pov“It was magnificent, I could not stop gawking,” I told Ava, squealing excitedly. Despite how yesterday's event had turned bad, I had chosen to remember only the good side of it. The place was too nice for me to simply forget all about it all because of an adult who was acting inconsiderate. “Arghh! I am so jealous of you, I wish I could also get to attend but my father frowns at the idea of females attending such an event,”“He said it is toxic for us,” Ava added, groaning angrily. I nodded my head in response. “It is actually very toxic and boring. I was only interested in the views, trust me, I wouldn’t agree if I were to be paid to go back there,” I said in all honesty. Ava furrowed her brows. “Did the—““I don’t even want to talk about it. Alpha Allaric was there for me, that’s all that matters,” I responded dismissively. “Why are we always getting to school at the same time? Are they stalking us?” Ava muttered. I looked to our right side and saw that the trip

Liora’s povThe shock on Sierra's face almost made me break out in laughter, but I managed to control myself. “Awwn, Alpha Allaric. I wanted to sit with you,” she said shamelessly, holding his hands while making a pouty face. “Ohh, you don't have to worry. I reserved a special seat for you but Liora needs to stay by my side,” he responded. “This is her first match, she needs someone to explain it all to her,” he added with a smile. I also smiled back at him and turned back to Sierra with a smirk. I could see the flames of anger hovering over her. “As I was saying, the boys train here almost every day till they become masters of the craft. Every member of the family should know how to combat,” he added.I raised my brows. “Are females an exemption?” I asked. Most of the time, women were always the exception. They were forced to sit around and dress pretty, waiting for their mate to swipe them off their feet. Alpha Allaric shook his head almost immediately. “Not a chance! That

Kael’s povOur father shook our hands with a small smile on his lips. “I really hope he was impressed,” Ronan muttered.Ronan has always been the most concerned about our father’s reaction to whatever we did. It was like he always loved to please our father. It wasn't like I also didn't do most of the things for his approval, Ronan’s was just excessive.“Who cares? I had fun beating you both, that's all that matters,” Elias whispered with a smirk. I glared at him. “Beat? You cunny bastard, you didn't even fight at all,” I let out with a hiss. Elis erupted into laughter, shaking his head. “That’s life for you brother,” he responded. “Boys, go freshen up and have a change of clothes, and then join me at the dining hall. Liora and I will be waiting for you,” he said with a smile. I kissed my teeth as we walked to our respective rooms. “I’ll be the one to celebrate the most when her secret is exposed and she leaves the house,” I let out. Elias shook his head. “It doesn't look

Liora’s pov“Alpha, I really think Kael might not be the… best option,” I stuttered, trying to explain my predicament to him. He furrowed his brows in confusion. “Why? Did you both have any fights? Trust me I'll —”“No, no, we didn't have any fight. But Kael is a bit fierce and—”Alpha Allaric held my arms, laughing out loud. “You are worried he is going to go hard on you? I definitely know he is going to go hard on you but that's what you need at the moment. I'll speak to him on your behalf so he can go easy on you,”I was about to protest more when the Beta came into view. “You have to come right now, something needs your urgent attention,” he said. I noticed the sigh that escaped Alpha Allaric’s lips. “We will talk some other time,” he said, rushing out and walking away with Beta. I stood in the hallway, feeling defeated. “Kael? He is literally the worst out of the brothers, he despises me,” I muttered with a sigh. I would have been very excited if it were Ronan. With how

Kael’s pov“This time last week, you were laughing in my face and now the tables have turned,” Ronan spat out in his usual irritating tone. I hissed angrily, refusing to respond to him. Elias erupted into laughter, shaking his head. “This is why you should be cunny,” he added. I scoffed in disbelief. I can’t believe both of them were making a jest of me. Nothing about this was funny. “Why would dad want me to ignore my busy schedule to train his—“I tried to find the most disgusting word to use but I just ended up not saying anything else. “The bright side of it was that he praised you. He said you were the best amongst us, I think that’s a win,” Ronan said, grinning teasingly. I rolled my eyes. “That’s not a win for me, I don’t give a damn about what he thinks. I know I am the best,”Elias chuckled. “Best at being a loser,” he muttered. “The real winner is the one who attacks strategically. Forget whatever nonsense father is telling you both,” Elias added. “Tsk, don’t eve

Liora’s pov“Time for breakfast,” Cecile sang, walking into my room. I groaned angrily, covering my face with my duvet. “Can't I skip breakfast?” I asked, groaning tiredly. Cecile stopped in her tracks and glared at me. “Why does everyone want to kiss breakfast today? Is it because it is the weekend?” She asked. I hummed in response. Cecile clicked her tongue. “Well, not for you young lady. You would get on your feet and eat breakfast,” She let out with a tone of finality. “Arghh! Why me,” I groaned tiredly, forcing myself to get up from the bed. “I literally curated an English breakfast this morning, you will make me sad if you all don't have it out,” Cecile said, holding her chest. I rolled my eyes jokingly, playfully glaring at her. “You know I would never say no to that look,” I replied, rolling my eyes. Cecile laughed and forced me to quickly freshen up before heading downstairs. I got downstairs and met the dining room, which was truly deserted. “What about Alpha A

Liora’s povI was really surprised by her behavior today, it was disgusting and surprising.Cecile stared at me like I was saying something odd. “Surprising? Are you joking with me? I am not surprised if she even goes ahead to curse out the children! She is that crazy,” Cecile commented, rolling her eyes. I shook my head in dismay. “Honestly, every new day I realise how crazy she is. It has gotten way out of hand,” I commented. I didn't know how to say the money had gotten to her. But to be honest, others had wealth and affluence more than she could ever dream of yet they were humble. It was solely on her. I just hoped she didn't learn the hard way, that belittling other people won't take her anywhere.“I am dreaming of the day someone is going to put her in her place, I just really hope it is sooner than we all expect. I would be the one in the front row cheering the person on,” Cecile said. I erupted in laughter, slapping my palms on my thighs. “Today was great overall, I a

Kael’s povI quickly wiped the smile off my face and went back to have a seat. After several minutes, Liora had just completed five cycles out of twenty, and she started heaving loudly. “You still have a long way to go,” I told her, smirking inwardly. Served her right, she had to pay for all the times she made me frustrated. It was time for payback. I could see her clothes soaked with sweat but she still didn’t stop. I folded my arms. Once she couldn’t go any further then I was going to leave her. That was going to be all for today’s training. She had completed 15 cycles and was barely moving. I got on my feet and moved closer to her. “You can stop now, tsk, I thought you were stronger,” I said. Liora stopped on the track and bent, heaving loudly. After catching her breath, she looked back at me. “You said to run around twenty times, I am just at fifteen,” she replied. I kissed my teeth in irritation. “Tsk! It is so obvious you can’t do it, just head back here and list

Liora’s povI fluttered my eyes open and met Cecile staring at me intently. I gasped in shock and moved back, wondering why she was glaring at me. “You have finally woken up,” she let out with a deep breath of relief. “I—-”I coughed loudly. My throat was parched. She rushed to the side table and handed a glass of water to me. “Ahh, I feel better!” I let out a sigh of relief. “Good, because you are going to need a lot of strength to explain why you would want to kill yourself,” she let out with an angry sigh. I looked around and saw that I was at the sick bay. Everything suddenly dawned on me, I remembered how I had collapsed in Kael’s arms. I was sure he had left me there until someone came and found me. “Ohh my gosh! Who brought me here?” I asked, wanting to thank the person.“It was Kael, dummy! Who else after you attempted suicide? Why would you think of running such a crazy distance, who are you trying to impress?! No one was even there,”“Ohh, you kids are going to be

Kael’s pov“You asked me to do it, it’s simple,”“But I asked you to stop, and you didn’t,” I retorted. There was this feeling at the back of my mind, like Liora had done that to prove to herself that she was worthy. I felt bad that I had made her feel a certain way, which was why I was enquiring. “Kael, I don’t like my task unfinished. That’s one of my traits so think twice before instructing me on what to do,” She joked. I scoffed in disbelief. “You're having crazy audacity these days, I want to know what is giving you your confidence. Your friend?” I asked her, raising my brows. Liora rolled her eyes. “Confidence you say? Audacity? You are—“She hitched her breath. “I just wanted to apologize. I am sorry for causing you so much drama,” She said hastily and walked away.I watched her retreat until I couldn’t see her anymore. Staggering backward, I fell onto my bed and ran my hands through my hair. “Why do I keep feeling this way whenever she is around? But if it was never
