All Chapters of Fated To The Werewolf Dragon King : Chapter 121 - Chapter 130

The royal aide was already up before the sun rose in the sky, and he went to the iron gate connected to the cottage, but there was still no news of the King or the guard who had gone into the streets of the realm. His fingers twisted against each other once in a while as he stood with the other guard who was guarding the gate. The sun was shining bright now, and he knew the ministers he had kept on hold would be flocking into the court requesting the King.He didn't know how to stall them anymore, so that was why he stood here looking beyond the gate, waiting eagerly for His Majesty.By the time the sun disappeared into the clouds announcing midday, the royal aide knew he had to go back.Staying here too long would only arouse suspicion."Make sure you send a word when the King arrives." He said to the guard, who nodded, and he went back into the palace. As he had predicted, the royal Secretariat was waiting at the entrance of the court. He met the royal aide halfway."I request the p

Kallias breathed in slowly, drawing the fresh, misty air deep into his lungs. He looked up to see stars already coming out in their tiny diamond forms. He felt a presence before they appeared, and he looked behind him to see whoever was coming. He felt tingles all over him when he saw who it was.Adriana.She was dressed in a pink satin blouse and a skirt that stopped just below her knees. A long scarf was wrapped around her shoulders, and her silver hair trailed down her shoulders.Kallias caught himself staring at her. She was radiant. She came to stand beside him, and she glanced up once, flashing him a smile that showcased a set of white teeth, before gazing up at the sky."I hope you didn't wait long?" Her voice floated to him, igniting the tingles he had felt when he saw her coming.Kallias found himself shifting closer."I just arrived." He said, even though it felt like he wasn't telling the truth."Hmmm..." She sighed. "I love this." Her head turned to him slightly. "I love c

Kallias' feet moved quickly out of the room and out of the Wing.He had searched every nook and corner of the Wing, but he didn't see her. He almost asked a servant if she had been seen, but he didn't want unnecessary attention. So Kallias trusted the connection he had with her and hoped it was functioning. He went towards the King's court, but something made him take the turn to his left, leading to the fields, and he hastened there. His footsteps slowed until he stopped, and a sigh left him.Adriana was bent low beside a tree, and she cradled something in her arms.A cat.She was whispering soft words to the furry white thing. She let out a light chuckle when the kitten turned in her arms, rubbing its nose on her jaw.Kallias didn't move. His shoulders felt lighter, like a burden had been unloaded. He hadn't realized his stomach had been in knots until the moment he had seen her.Kallias didn't fight the emotions swirling in him as he kept staring at her, not wanting to interrupt th

Tension filled the air as some of the ministers fidgeted in their seats under the scrutiny of the King.Kallias didn't speak for a long time, and only the flipping of the paper interrupted the silence. The royal aide stood to his left, while the royal Secretariat stood to his right, his fingers twisting against each other as he brought them to his back to hide the nervousness he felt.He couldn't help it. He prayed to the heavens, but he knew the King was bound to find out. He wasn't blind. And just like he predicted, Kallias' face hardened when he came to a record. The financial statement appeared clean and simple, but something was amiss. There were discrepancies in several of the statements, coins being accounted for things that had never been reported to him.He turned to another page, and his face grew darker. The royal Secretariat shifted in his position, unable to stop himself. He could hear his heartbeat thundering, and he knew the King could also hear it; no matter how much h

Laughter and clinking of jugs filled the air as Maxwell walked past. He was dressed in a simple robe, and people hardly recognized him. Even if they did, they minded their business. That was one thing he loved about this place, and that was why he had called for a meeting here.He had come in here alone. His head guard was waiting outside, guarding his carriage. The owner of the place raised a small cup at him in greeting, and Maxwell gave him a nod as he came over to meet him. He was a plump man of five feet two inches in height; his face was small on his neck, and a heavy beard graced his face. His beard twitched when he smiled at Maxwell."Your Highness." His voice was a little thin for a man."Have they arrived?"The man nodded. "A few minutes ago. They are already being entertained with wine and meat."Maxwell patted his shoulder. "Good job, Lou."Lou looked pleased, and he grinned at him. Maxwell left him and went towards a room with a shut door.He pushed the door open, and the
