All Chapters of Fated To The Werewolf Dragon King : Chapter 131 - Chapter 140

"I need a ladder!" One of the workmen called to his fellow. He held two huge lanterns by their handle hooks. He was given a ladder, climbed to the top, and hooked the lanterns high above on the rope tied to two poles. They were outside in the palace arena.Other servants bustled around, sweeping the ground, arranging wooden chairs, hanging flowers on drooping thin ropes, and replacing fire torches with lanterns that had the realm crest. In one part of the palace, Annie was handing out dresses to the royal slaves."We must all do our best to look elegant." She said to them. "This is one of our annual occasions, and we mustn't take it lightly.""Are we going to do our usual performance?" One of the royal slaves asked."We haven't practiced for a long time, and I fear our moves would still be rusty," Annie replied."We haven't really practiced indeed, after our future Queen died." Another whispered, but everyone heard it anyway, and the atmosphere sobered.Adriana knew they were talking

The lanterns glowed brightly as the whistle sounded, announcing the beginning of the Light Festival.People were already pouring into the palace arena. Both royals, nobles, and commoners. The Light Festival had been a tradition since ancient times, and it had always been open to everyone in the realm regardless of their status. This was one of the rare occasions commoners were able to see the King and other elites up close, and they cherished it.More people were still coming, and seeing the lanterns from a far distance looking like fireflies brought excitement to their hearts.Kallias went to the made-like throne situated at the top of the arena podium. He gazed down at the people settling down on the wooden chairs until there were none left, and those that came later had to stand.Maxwell and Marcus were in the roofed small like building as he was, and were seated close to each other, chattering. Amelia was not too far from Marcus, but he paid her less attention. Most of the nobles

Adriana winced slightly as Kallias dragged her away. His grip on her hand was almost bruising, but she didn't complain. She could feel the anger vibrating through him and knew better than to talk. They were headed to the King's Wing, and she tried to keep up with his long strides. Her leg was much better now, and she half-ran as they turned a corner. Then she realized where they were heading. His chamber. As they drew close, Adriana made to speak, but his head turned once to her, and she clamped her mouth shut. His eyes were like ice, and his face was set in a grim line. They continued quietly, and Kallias pushed the door open, stepping in and dragging her along with him.He still hadn't let go of her hand, and he slammed the door shut, the sound startling her. They didn't speak for some moments. She saw him drawing in deep breaths, trying to steady the anger he was feeling."Your Majesty." She finally spoke, but he still wasn't looking at her.He drew in another breath. "You let him

The royal aide wondered if this was the right time to tell the King what he had heard. After the confrontation with Lord Gerald and Lady Mica, he expected the King to be drowning in agony, just like he had always done in the past, but the King seated in front of him appeared unaffected. His face held no sadness. His eyes looked alive when he looked up at him."So what happened? What do you have to say?" The King asked him, and the royal aide studied his face.Still no reaction to what happened earlier, and he wondered if the King was faking it, maybe because he didn't want to bother him."Umm... Maybe I could tell His Majesty later in the day.""Why can't it be said now?" The King furrowed his brows."I'm not sure His Majesty would desire to hear anything I have to say now. Maybe His Majesty needs some alone time." He said carefully, and he saw the King's brows creased further."Tell me what happened, now."The royal aide stared at his expression a second longer, and he saw only impat

Kallias adjusted the cloak he wore over his dress, his eyes focused on a mansion. The Prime Minister's house. The royal aide looked around them, trying to detect any hidden threats. He was also wearing a cloak, and their horses were tied to a tree a few paces from them.Kallias started walking towards the house, and the royal aide followed. They climbed the few steps leading to the entrance."His Majesty should let me knock on the door..." The royal aide whispered, but Kallias raised his wrist and tapped on the door instead."Your Majesty!" The royal aide protested.Kallias knocked again, and he glanced at the royal aide and gave him a smirk. Before the royal aide could say anything else, the door creaked open, and a young girl dressed in maid attire appeared at the doorway. She eyed them and waited for them to speak. The royal aide stepped forward before Kallias could speak."We are here for your master."The girl continued eyeing them curiously, probably sizing them up to see if the
