Izzy I finished the sentence in a rush before I could stop myself. “Not because I think you’re repulsive.”The second the words left my mouth I wanted to grab them back. They sounded wrong, defensive, like I was scrambling to cover something instead of just stating a fact. Riven’s face changed right in front of me. The anger that had been sitting there cracked open into something sharper and rawer at the same time.
