Evie.An uncomfortable silence filled the car as we drove back to Crescent Pack.The kiss was still in my mind. I remembered his mouth on mine and the way his arms tightened around me in the forest like he never wanted to let go. I hated how much it affected me.Rodney sat beside me, one hand resting against the seat between us. His breathing had become steadier after touching me, but some frost still lingered under the skin of his throat.I caught him looking at me whenever he thought I wouldn't notice.After some time, I couldn’t take it anymore.
