All Chapters of Heiress Rebound, Back to My Billions: Chapter 1 - Chapter 10

AURORAI stood in the parking lot beside my beaten-up car, my eyes closed as the night wind grazed violently against my skin. I shuddered and pulled the coat over my shoulders.Three years ago, after Julian had saved me from the fire, I had fallen for him. My mom had thought it was a horrible idea; after all, a playboy like Julian didn't match the status of the Sterling heiress.I had been so sure we were destined together, so I made a bet with my mother. I ran my fingers through my hair and groaned angrily.“Why the hell did I make that bet? Why did I give up so much for him?”The only reason I had dumbed myself down was to be with him. He said he liked the obedient and sensitive kind of woman, so I hid everything about myself just to stay by his side.My mind went back to the dainty house we shared. It was not even enough in comparison to what the Sterling staff lived in.I pulled out my phone and booked a flight back to Los Angeles. Whatever I had left with him, he could throw away

AURORAIt was the end of the world.Or maybe I wanted it to be the end of the world. For the earth to open in half and swallow me while everyone else went about their day.A shiver ran down my back. Alexander's eyes didn't leave mine, not even for a minute. He was staring like that question had a reasonable answer.I shuffled on my feet, dragging down the robe he had put on me. I picked up my dress scattered on the carpeted floor and darted to the bathroom. I slipped into it, staring at myself in the mirror.I slipped out into the room, and he was still in bed, with the covers on his lower half.“I am sorry about last night, but I have to go.” I had barely finished the statement when I was out the door.My heart thudded in my chest throughout the ride back to the hotel.I had refused Chloe's effort to set me up with her brother and then jumped into bed with him before the end of the night. How was I going to face any of them? The gates to the main Sterling estate sent a wrong shiver d

AURORAI froze, looking down at Alexander still on one knee with a gentle look on his face. He blinked, his long lashes doing a little dance.Of all the things I expected him to say right there, marriage was not one of them.I shifted in my seat and cleared my throat. My breath turned shaky, a sharp breath brushing over my trembling lips.“Marry... you?” I almost stuttered. I let out a nervous laugh, trying to avoid his eyes.My heart began racing as I thought of all the ways this was a ridiculous idea. For starters, he was the brother of my best friend, which felt more like a family member than a romantic partner. He could have anyone else he wanted. Not the heiress rumored to have had a failed relationship with a scumbag.“Why me?”I barely let the words settle in the air when I continued in a hurried voice. “If it's because of what happened between us that night, it's unnecessary. We are both adults, and you don't owe me anything.”He shook his head and shifted. His eyes had not le

AURORAAlexander’s lips crashed onto mine. A soft but deep kiss lingered on my lips. My eyes closed instinctively as if I had been waiting all day for this moment to happen. He pulled away suddenly, and my eyes shot open. Before I could process what was going on, he scooped me into his arms.A small gasp escaped my lips.He carried me to the couch like I weighed nothing and lowered me down, hovering over me. His eyes stayed on my lips. That look made my stomach clench. I had never seen it before, but somehow I knew what it meant. My lips parted, but before any real words could form, he crashed his lips onto mine again. The once-gentle kiss deepened. His tongue brushed against mine, pressing deep into my mouth. My fingers curled into the fabric of his shirt. For one dizzying moment, everything disappeared. The scent of his aftershave and extremely pricey perfume clung to the walls of my nose. The leftover taste of his coffee lingered in my mouth. He suddenly pulled away, and I began to

JULIAN“Never come back here again.”The manager said after he tossed us out. Victoria pulled her gown down and stomped her feet hard.“Julian!” she shrieked. “Are you just going to allow them to treat us like this?”I tried to move, and the manager took another step forward. “If you don't want to be hauled away by the cops, then I suggest that you leave now.” He pointed to the parking lot where our car was waiting.“We are paying customers. You treating us like this for that bitch will cost you your job.”The manager straightened his back and let out a laugh.“You think so?”I raised my nose in the air and nodded. “I am a VIP client here, and I will make sure that you...”“Save it.” He raised his hand in the air and shook it. “Spare me the fable. You offended who you weren't supposed to offend. I suggest that you go and hope your company can make it.”He spat out and angrily stormed away. I watched him go. The image of Aurora in those high-end brands stayed stuck in my mind.I watche
