"Natalie's been having some emotional issues these past few days. I was worried about her, so I brought her here to stay for a while," Josh explained to me when he noticed my silence.I nodded and walked inside immediately. Pain spread through my chest. Out of habit, I reached for my phone to call my mother.In the next second, I remembered she was gone. It was at that moment I broke down sobbing.My mother had actually tried to warn me years ago. "Rena, Josh is a good man, but he doesn't love you enough."I had refused to believe her and married him without hesitation. I had even called myself an independent woman. "So what if he doesn't love me enough? Love grows over time! He'll love me eventually!"Reality had finally slapped me in the face, so that I couldn't lie to myself anymore.On the way to get Milo, I stopped at a lawyer's office.
