(Zorya)I was a mess when our lips finally parted. My heart was rolling like a drum behind my ribcage. Xalik's dazed and ravenous eyes found me as he slightly tilted his head up. “You are an addiction, Zorya.” His fingers erogenously traced along the sensitive skin of my back. “The one I won't be able to get enough of.”This was a dangerous game we were playing. A game that could lead to our deaths, and yet I didn't want to stop. He laid me down, gathering me in his arms. My cheeks burnt deep as I confessed. “This was my first real kiss. Thanks for making it memorable.”His eyes darkened at my words. He deeply inhaled and exhaled for a while, trying to gather himself. I knew he understood what this implied: that I was a virgin when Caliath took me. “I am sorry, Zorya. I wish you weren't stuck here.” His eyes held his truths, and I reassuringly smiled at him. “I know.”“Tell me something about yourself.” His fingers gently stroked my hair back. “What do you want to know?” “What'

(Zorya)I began with what had made me happy and content. “Shade kissed me, and I enjoyed it.” Ashlia clasped her hands to her mouth, eyes going wild. “He did? Don't tell this to anyone else.” Shyly, I nipped my lower lip with my teeth. “No way I ever will.” It was my most cherished memory.“So, did you guys…” she asked, leaving her sentence hanging. “No, no,” I spoke so quickly that embarrassment flushed my face. Ashlia stifled the laugh trying to fall through her lips. “And he didn't hurt you by any means?” Ashlia asked, pointing towards my eyes. “He merely pressed there to give a false impression of abuse at my asking. Caliath and Canara needed to be given this narrative that he merely took me to abuse me.”Ashlia stepped closer, holding my hands. “I understand, but this was extremely selfish of Shade. He could have gotten you into serious trouble. He should know better than to lay a gamble of death. If he genuinely cares about you, he shouldn't have chosen to take you.” She

(Zorya)“Pee in the cup, Rania or no antibiotics. You know the rules, or do I need to dictate them to refresh your memory?” Ashlia sternly told her. All that kind demeanour she always keeps with me disappeared when she spoke to Rania. “Fine!” She grabbed the cup from me and headed to the bathroom. Ashlia shook her head behind her. “Some people can't stop making trouble. They need to be dealt with accordingly.” I pursed my lips, and she turned to face me while writing something on her tablet. Raising the tablet, she let me read. “He replaced me with her, and she dreamt of becoming his Luna, not understanding Caliath is incapable of loving a woman anymore. He uses and discards them.” I nodded; I had experienced his wrath a few days ago. I wondered what was going to happen to me once he was done using my body. Will I be sent to the Red Room as well? Offered to other Alphas for pleasure seeking? “Is that what's going to happen to me?” I typed, and she bunched her lips as if my word

(Zorya)Interactions with Xalik always left me numb, but in a good way. His calling me doctor, on the other hand, pulled at the raw strings of my heart, reminding me that I never got to complete my studies. “I want to continue my studies,” I told Ashlia while we had lunch. She wiped her lips with her napkin. “You will have to take his permission. It's beneficial for this place, so I don't think you will be prohibited.” She placed the napkin down. “Besides, I will guide you.” My heart shivered at the thought of seeing him again, especially how our last meeting had gone. My scream seemed to have irritated him to the extent that he kicked me out of his study without finishing. Still, I needed to do this. I couldn't waste my life here and only have the label of a sex slave. I had to move forward, for the people stuck here, for Xalik and especially for myself. I had to get my self-esteem back. The first step in that direction was to stop fearing that monster. I could face him. I had t

(Xalik)A burning desire to capture her on canvas consumed me. For a month, I hardly saw her. That bastard was keeping her busy. Every time I asked about her, she was with him. Canara had been super clingy at night, making it impossible for me to sneak out to see her. She had a wedding of her best friend coming up, so she was visiting her pack for a week. I couldn't wait for her to be gone. This was the best opportunity for me to see Zorya. I had given a note to Kalish, meant for Zorya, so she would know I was coming for her and be mentally prepared. Canara snored on my chest, and the urge to push her off the bed made my fingertips sizzle. I had lost count of the ways I had imagined killing her, and I wasn't sure when the time would come or which method I was going to use. Slowly, I dozed off, pushing her hand off my chest. She mumbled something in her sleep and rolled off to the other side. Her naked body did nothing for me. That one night when I merely kissed Zorya had strength
