All Chapters of The Small Whisperer: They wanted the Alpha's Omega dead : Chapter 1 - Chapter 10

POV: JACKSON The cool breeze brushed against my skin, causing me to shiver slightly. The morning air was still crisp. The training ground wasn't far from my home, and as I walked past the pack house, I looked at it. It was designed for warriors and provided a place for pack members, especially struggling or unmated wolves, to eat and rest during breakfast and dinner. The cooks were already bustling about, preparing meals. Upon arriving at the training ground, I felt a sense of approval as I observed the training session in full swing. With the recent surge in rogue attacks, the intensity of our training had ramped up. We weren't a small pack; we numbered in the thousands. New members often joined us thanks to our unique system. We didn't adhere to traditional werewolf hierarchies; omegas were free to pursue any roles they desired. Everyone had to work hard to earn their place, whether they were Alphas, Betas, or Omegas. Eli, our head warrior, acknowledged me with a nod, which I

POV: SAINT It's Sunday, and since we didn't have much to unpack, we finished that task yesterday. The house felt eerily quiet. My mom tends to be a woman of few words; sometimes, she just drifts off into her own memories, gazing at old photographs. I've come to realize that sometimes people simply need their space. All in all, it turned into a rather dull day for me. Feeling restless, I decided to explore the apartment grounds and take in the surroundings. I wanted to make a new friend, but knocking on people's doors here felt a bit too awkward. "Why are you staring so intently at the ground? Did it hurt your feelings?" a boy teased, observing me with amusement. "Oh, not much... just me and my wolf," I lied, letting out an awkward chuckle. "I can relate to that. I'm Mateo, by the way," he introduced himself. I took a moment to observe him. He had olive skin and dark hair, standing a bit taller than I did, and he looked quite young. "I'm Saint; I just moved here," I said.

POV: SAINT He mentioned sending someone to pick me up to discuss the mate situation, and that thought alone sent my nerves into overdrive. I still didn't know his name; everyone just referred to him as Alpha. He was the most stunning man I had ever laid eyes on, with his blonde hair cascading to his shoulders and piercing grey eyes that seemed to captivate everyone around him. Standing before him, I found myself at a loss for words, stumbling over my thoughts. But who could blame me? His presence was utterly daunting. I turned onto my left side, tracing tiny circles on the sofa. Hours had passed since I got home, and my mom had bombarded me with a flurry of questions. He had instructed me to keep the mate business a secret, yet I felt compelled to share the news with my mom. Her excitement was palpable-she couldn't wait to meet him. Still, an unsettling feeling loomed over me, whispering that things might not unfold as hoped. I glanced at the clock; it was past two in the afternoo

POV: JACKSON This situation was undeniably odd. Voices? Why was she hearing them, and why would they urge her to harm Saint? He had only arrived last week. I’d be shocked if he’d already made an enemy bitter enough to want him dead. “Take her to the cell and tell the pack doctor to check on her. Bring her back tomorrow morning for questioning. I'll wrap things up here,” I instructed the three wolves nearby, who promptly complied. Chris approached Saint. “Are you alright, Saint?” he asked, helping him stand. “Not really,” Saint replied, his voice weary. “Do you have any clue why she’d want to kill you?” Chris inquired. I was curious about that too. “I don’t even know her. She just walked in and asked if I was a saint. I said yes, and then she attacked me,” Saint recounted. “We’ll discuss this tomorrow. Go with Jackson. He’ll take care of your arm at his place,” Chris said, glancing at me. I responded with a neutral expression. Saint looked back and forth between us. “It’s just

POV: JACKSON It was just Saint and I in the office. I glanced over at him; he was staring at his shoes, lost in thought. I could sense his anxiety about what might transpire, who wouldn't feel that way? The details of the situation were unclear to me, but I was determined to uncover the truth. While I didn't embrace the mate bond, I couldn't let him come to harm; he was somewhat my responsibility now. Admitting that felt strange. "Don't get too anxious, Saint. I promise I won't let anything happen to you. Just stay calm," I reassured him. He looked up, offering a faint nod in response. "I'm just concerned about my mom. What if they target her? I'm not sure..." His voice trembled with worry. "She'll be alright. I'll make sure some guards are assigned to keep an eye on her, so don't worry," I replied. "Okay. I think I'll head home now; all of this has left me worn out," he said, rubbing his arms. "I'll walk with you," I offered, standing up and grabbing my things."No, it's okay.
