Early the next morning, Darrell rang the doorbell. He had breakfast in one hand and a bag from a frame shop in the other. After stepping inside, he set the breakfast on the table, crouched in front of the television cabinet, and took Dylan's photo out of the bag. The new frame was made of dark wood grain. It was sturdier than the original one, with metal accents on the corners. He wiped both sides of the frame carefully with a paper towel and placed it squarely on the cabinet. Then, he took a couple of steps back to look at it, walked forward to adjust the angle slightly, and stepped back again. "Does this look right to you, Elle?"I walked over with a glass of orange juice to take a look.
