If Only He Knew

CHAPTER ONERILEY’S POVThe crowd was screaming so loud my ears were ringing. Chatham University’s ice rink was packed tonight, and the energy felt like it could lift the roof off the building. I sat in my usual spot, a few rows behind the team bench, gripping the railing tightly out of excitement. My eyes weren’t really on the puck flying across the ice or the players slamming into each other. They were only on him.Jax Harlan. He stood behind the bench in his captain’s jersey, with his arms crossed and shouting instructions at the team with that deep, commanding voice that always made my legs go weak at the sound of it.He was thirty-four years old, tall, heavily muscled, with arms covered in dark tattoos that showed every time he raised his stick. The way he moved, the way he commanded the ice—it was like he owned everything he touched.I had been obsessed with Jax for years. But nobody knew, not even my best friend. I kept it locked deep inside me, it was a secret I was scared t

Spread Your Legs For Me

CHAPTER TWORILEY’S POVJax cursed under his breath, pulled me closer with one strong hand, and crushed his mouth against mine. The kiss was nothing like I had imagined in all my years of obsessing over him. It was rough, hungry and almost angry. His lips were hot and demanding, his tongue pushed into my mouth like he had been holding back for just as long as I had. I moaned into the kiss, as my hands flew up to grip his bare shoulders. His skin was still damp from the game, it felt warm and hard at the same time under my fingers. He tasted like salt and victory and a darker element. My body reacted instantly, and heat flooded between my legs as he kissed me like he owned me. Which honestly he did.Jax suddenly pulled back, breathing heavily and rested his forehead against mine. His eyes were full on wild and his pupils were blown wide.“Riley… fuck,” he growled in a strained tone. “We can’t do this. Logan will kill me. He’ll kill both of us.”I didn’t care. I had waited way too long

You Okay Ri?

CHAPTER THREE RILEY’S POVThe next few days felt like I was walking around in a dream.Every time I closed my eyes, I could still feel Jax inside me. His thick, hard cock stretching me open on that cold locker room bench. I could still hear the way he groaned my name when he came, the way his cum had leaked out of me afterward. My body was sore in the best possible way, and every time I moved, I remembered exactly who had claimed me.I tried to act normal around Logan. Really, I did.We were sitting at the kitchen island having breakfast the morning after. Logan was scrolling through his phone, eating cereal like nothing had changed. I kept my head down, pushing my scrambled eggs around the plate.“You good, Ri?” Logan asked suddenly, his voice sounded casual but his eyes looked different when he looked up at me. “You’ve been quiet since the game, and you look…different.”I forced a small smile. “I’m fine. I was just tired from watching you guys almost lose in the third period.”He

No. No. No!

CHAPTER FOUR RILEY’S POVThe days after the storage room incident felt like walking a tightrope made of fire. Every second I wasn’t with Jax, I was thinking about him. And every second I was near him, I had to pretend I wasn’t dying to touch him again. My obsession was growing worse.Maya noticed something was different during our Tuesday afternoon coffee run. She kept staring at me over her iced latte, narrowing her eyes at me like she was trying to solve a puzzle.“Okay, spill it,” she said, pointing her straw at me. “You’ve been glowing and spacing out like a girl who just got properly cracked. Who is he?”I nearly choked on my drink. “What? Nobody.”“Bullshit. You’ve got that freshly eaten look. And don’t think I didn’t see you sneaking around the rink again after practice yesterday.” She leaned in, smirking. “It’s someone on the team, isn’t it?”My heart hammered. “You’re imagining things.”“Mhm. Sure.” She didn’t look convinced, but thankfully she dropped it…for now.Later

Riley?!

CHAPTER FIVE RILEY’S POV“Coming!” I called out, my voice sounded shaky even to my own ears.I quickly dropped the pregnancy test on the bathroom sink like it had burned me. The two pink lines stared back at me accusingly. My heart was hammering so hard I felt like I might throw up again. I couldn’t deal with this right now. Not with Logan waiting downstairs.I splashed cold water on my face, took a deep breath, and forced myself to look normal in the mirror. My cheeks were pale and my eyes looked scared, but there was nothing I could do about it. I locked the bathroom door behind me and headed downstairs.Logan was already sitting at the kitchen island when I walked in. He had made my favorite meal—grilled chicken Alfredo with garlic bread. The smell that usually made my mouth water but now, it turned my stomach violently. He looked up at me with that familiar smile, but his eyes were intense. Again.“There you are,” he said, pushing a plate toward me. “Sit down. I made extra just

You're All I Have Okay?!

CHAPTER SIX RILEY’S POV “What am…” I muttered to myself as I opened my eyes slowly to the pristine lights of a hospital room. The sound of machines beeping could be heard all around me and the harsh smell of disinfectant suddenly made me feel nauseous. My head felt heavy, like someone had stuffed a bad brand of cotton inside it. I turned my head and spotted Logan sitting in the chair next to the bed. He looked wrecked, not the usual tired-after-practice kind of wrecked. His hair was a mess, like he had been running his hands through it for hours. There were dark circles under his eyes and his jaw was clenched so tight I could practically see the muscle jumping. His shirt was wrinkled and one of his knees was bouncing nonstop. He looked worse than the situation should have called for. “Logan…” I said roughly. His head snapped up the second he saw my eyes open and he leaned forward so quickly the chair almost gave way.. “Riley. Fuck, you’re awake.” His voice was low and

Eli.

CHAPTER SEVEN JAX’S POV I heard about the hospital incident from Derek before Riley even had the chance to tell me herself. We were in the weight room after morning practice and Derek was repping out on the bench when he casually said, “Yo, you hear Kane’s sister got rushed to the hospital last night? Passed out at dinner or some shit.” My hands stopped mid-rep. “What?” “Yeah. Logan’s been quiet as fuck about it, but one of the trainers mentioned it. She’s home now. Apparently she’s fine, just dehydrated or whatever.” I set the bar down harder than I intended to, the fear that washed over me was terrifying. I felt like a man possessed at that point, what could have been the problem? My mind was racing with endless possibilities of what could have gone wrong.Guilt had been riding me for days already, but this was different. This felt like someone had reached inside my ribs and gutted my heart. I finished the rest of the workout on autopilot, the second we were done I che

I'm Pregnant.

CHAPTER EIGHT RILEY’S POV I couldn’t keep it from him anymore. Jax deserved to hear it from me before anyone else and the thought of Logan finding out first made my stomach turn. So that same evening I grabbed my bag, told myself I was just going for a drive, and ended up outside Jax’s apartment building before I could convince myself to turn back. My hands were shaking when I knocked. He opened the door still in a black hoodie and sweats, his hair was damp like he had just showered. The second he saw my face his expression changed.

Get Straight To The Point Scarlett.

CHAPTER NINE LOGAN’S POV Scarlett was already waiting for me when I walked out of the film room. She leaned against the wall outside Coach’s office wearing a tight body con dress that revealed too much of her legs, with her phone in one hand and the same devious smile she always had on her face. “Logan Kane,” she said, pushing off the wall. “Right on time for our little interview.” I checked the hallway to be clear and it was empty, most of the guys had already left. “Make it quick,&rdq

Who Is The Guy In This Writing?

CHAPTER TEN RILEY’S POV I was halfway through my History reading when my phone buzzed. I grabbed it quickly hoping it was from Jax. Unfortunately, it was just Maya sending a meme. I replied with a laughing emoji and set the phone face-down again, trying not to feel disappointed. The house was quiet. Logan still wasn’t back from grabbing his skates. I had the TV on low in the background for noise, some random cooking show was on but I wasn’t really watching it. My notebook was open on the coffee table, with a highlighter in my hand, but I kept losing focus. My mind kept drifting to earlier—Jax’s arm around me on the couch, the kiss at the door, the way he had said “my kid” it made me feel like we were already parents. I pressed my palm against my stomach for a second, I wasn’t entirely used to the idea that an actual baby was growing in there. I forced myself back to the textbook, highlighted one more paragraph and checked my phone again. There was still nothing from him.
