Asher looked up and fixed his gaze on Luna. Then, he smiled and held Luna’s hand.I felt my heart thumping against my chest in sadness. My mother walked forward with a pale face as she stared at the scene in disbelief. She wanted to help me up from the floor with her trembling hands.However, I was completely limp, as though I was just a puppet. She could not move me after two attempts. Her voice became high-pitched from anxiousness. “Petra, I’m here. What’s wrong with you?“Don’t be afraid, I’m here.” I did not know why my soul had not disappeared after I died. I stood beside her and helplessly watched the scene. My mother was still shaking me. She sounded more and more anxious. “Petra, open your eyes! Look at me!” She finally realized she could not carry me. She turned around and yelled at Asher. “Call an ambulance! Quick, call it!” It was then Asher came to his senses. He took out his phone. His fingers were trembling so violently he could barely press on the right numbers. After he ended the call, he pushed my mother aside and kneeled down. My mother screamed and started to struggle.

My mother launched forward and grabbed the doctor’s sleeve. She begged him.“Doctor, please save my daughter!” I sighed. “Mom, it’s no use. Don’t do this.” I looked at my headstrong mother begging the doctor to save me. I felt an indescribable pain in my heart. When Luna changed into the wedding gown and walked out, it was completely empty in the corridor. Asher kneeled down before me and reached out his hand. He lightly caressed my cold cheeks, and he felt the coldness spreading from his palm to his limbs. He kept tracing my features. The face that he looked at for four years became extremely quiet and unfamiliar. Asher was overwhelmed by immense grief and pain. He felt as though he no longer had any strength in his body. Even on his knees, he was swaying. He stumbled forward, and his forehead landed on my shoulder. Asher’s voice was extremely hoarse. “Silly Petra, why didn’t you tell us that you’re sick?
